Well I know it seems crazy, but I was surprised to find this out too! So many people think that mlm are scams and that multi level marketing is just a sign for trouble.
When you think of and Avon Review, however, you think of a long standing company generally run by housewives, that is well trusted and provides extremely good products.
Avon, in all of the glory and prestige that it has obtained through all the years, is indeed a mlm company. The mlm plans of Avon Representative come as a surprise to me and therefore, I decided to check out Avon Careers in this mlm review!
Let’s talk about age…Avon started in 1886 by a guy (yes…a guy) named David H. McConnel. Formally a book salesman, he is indeed a mlm player who can knock the socks of direct selling and multi level marketing in no time.
Multi Level Marketing is how many Avon Reps are doing well and you can learn to follow the steps required to become successful in direct sales online as an Avon Rep or any other mlm company out there.
As the internet becomes more and more a central part of our lives, mlm companies and large home based companies like Avon are churning our more and more six figure earners as they learn to harness the power of the internet and online marketing.

Avon, if you didn’t already know, is a mlm company that falls into the cosmetic multi level marketing niche. Along with makeup and skincare, you can expect to find personal care items and seasonal holiday gift type items that are used worldwide.
Growing up, I would always get an Avon chapstick in my stocking and in the summer, I would use the Avon Skin So Soft as a Bug Repellent. It works pretty well too!
Avon has so many products and is so well known that they make well over 10 billion a year. In addition they have over 6.4 multi level marketing consultants worldside.
Most consultants are women, however, there are men and women alike who humbly start an Avon Company and find success.
One of the more common methods of earning income with Avon is by having home parities or dropping off catalogue in the work break room or in the waiting area of familiar doctor offices.
The success you have with Avon is really dependent on the efforts you put forth in your advertising and getting your name out there as THE Avon consultant in your area.
People already trust Avon so that is definitely a plus if you are new to the mlm world.
How do you get started with Avon?
When you start your Avon Business, you invest $10. That amount is extremely cheap compared to the mlm investment required by other direct selling companies.
Once you get started, you get paid 50% commission on the first four orders including those that are placed online that cost over $50. (Keep in mind, that online marketing is competitive so make sure you know how to pursue a career online if you want to follow the route of selling Avon online)
The main concern you will have to worry about with Avon is getting clients who don’t already have an Avon Rep. The Avon Products are already well respected and trusted so selling them won’t be a problem IF you have the traffic.
Speaking of traffic, Avon gets over 10 million searches in a MONTH! Your attempts to sell Avon online will be challenging at best.
Selling the products will be a bit of challenge with all of the other competition out there. In order to face this challenge, you can use the mlm opportunity that Avon presents and attempt to find Avon Representatives to place in your down line.
Each Avon Rep you bring in will help you build your Avon Company and earn more money.
To make money off of the Team Volume from your downline sales, you will have to reach the rank of an Avon Unit Leader.
In order to reach this rank you must:
- Sell at least $250 in Personal Volume
- Have Avon Reps up to you that have a total sales of $1200 (only up to five Avon Rep sales can count towards this)
Just like with most other mlm companies out there, you can earn anywhere from 3 to 7% on the sales in your downline. In order to do so, you must have a minimum of $100 in sales and 0.5 to 1% of the orders coming from you downline which also must be a minimum of $100 each.
If you want to earn six figures or more as an Avon distributor, you need to really understand online network marketing and how to get leads coming at a steady rate.
Not only do you need to bring in a steady traffic of Avon Purchasers, you also have to find people who want to join Avon as Sales Reps. They also need to do the same and continue to help you build your downline.

So, you know you want to join Avon and become an Avon Representative. You love the products and you know they are a highly trusted company.
But how do you go about getting customers?
The key is in the traffic.
You can pay for traffic and get yourself qualified leads and that may help, however, remember that others can pay for the same list you just go too so the competition is still high.
It is a way better learn how to get your own organic traffic than it is to continually pay for traffic that may not be unique just to you.
This is where the right internet marketing training comes in.
Avon, unfortunately doesn’t have the best online training to sell their products (at least not as good as it could be). This can easily be seen by the number of people that are not Avon Reps that are ranking at the top of Google for Avon. (Ahem…)
There are many mlm firms out there that have way better training than Avon offers their sales reps. A well trained Avon Representative will not only know the ways to rank their Avon Sales site but will know how to convert the traffic they get into sales.
It is essential that Avon Representatives find online mentors (I prefer my millionaire mentors) who know how to rank and bank in this way. They can help you take the struggle and mystery of online sales out of the equation and allow you to enjoy the Avon Sales Job just as you intended.
You won’t have to worry about home parties and begging friends to help you, you can do that for fun and only if you want!
Once you learn how to build an effective website, you can use the skills for many businesses far into the future even if you decide to leave your Avon Sales Opportunity.
With the right online mentors, you can easily make money online with or without Avon.
MLM Reviews: The Avon Compensation Plan
If you do join Avon and need to get Avon Sales, you also will need to know what to expect from the Avon Compensation Plan and whether or not it is going to work for your or how it is going to work for you.
As an Avon Rep, there are TWO main ways you can Make Money by Selling Avon as a representative.
How to Make Money with Avon – #1
The first way you can make money with Avon is through the Sales leadership program.
This is the typical way most mlms work and it is how you can earn a substantial amount of money.
Your commissions will be based on how well you are able to get others to join the Avon Sales Representative Opportunity and join your Avon Sales Team.
As you grow, you will lead these people into building their own Avon Companies in their own markets.
If you have 4 Avon Reps that you sponsored in your downline,and make at least $1000, you will begin to earn commissions of 1 to 5%. This is very similar to how Beachbody Coaches make money, EXCEPT, with Avon, there is a second way to make money with is through selling Avon Products.
If you become an Advanced Unit Leader (You have 10 Avon Sales Reps in your downline and you meet a $3000 sales target), you eart 1,2 and 4 percent on the generational sales.
For an Avon Executive leader, you will have 12 Avon Sales Reps and can eventually earn from the entire company sales.
I’ll be sure to give you a better run down of the Avon Compensation Plan in a post in the future. As you grow your company and sell thousands of dollars in Avon products, you can expect your commissions to go up from your Leadership commissions as you and your company grows.
How to Make Money with Avon – #2
Selling Avon Products is the second main way you can make money with Avon.
You can elect to purchase products at a discounted price and sell it at home parities OR you can sell direct through online and catalogue sales.
Avon runs several promotional campaigns throughout the year, so your sales commissions may change from time to time and make your income predictions vary.
Avon Reps earn 40% commissions from their Avon product sales in the beginning and then they earn a fixed 20%.
First Time Bonuses are also offered and many other incentives in Avon that will be discussed in a more thorough Avon Comp Plan review in the future.
Items like cars, vacations and bonus pays will be discussed.
If you were to take a look at the mlm opportunity, you will find (sadly) that less than an acceptable percent earns less than $500 per year. If you look at most mlm company earnings, it is generally less than one percent that earn a good amount per year.
The persons who earn in that one percent are definitely the ones who know how to drive internet traffic and convert them to sales.
You can be one of the 1% earners, but you will have to get yourself some training. That’s where Brad comes in.
After the training, you will be able to rank for Avon Products and get more traffic to your site, but you may find yourself more interested in a more lucrative and easily obtainable way to make money.
I know that I much prefer to do what I have learned with local business owners rather than within a mlm structure.
With a mlm, you still have someone looking over you and if something were to happen to the company, your income stream is dead.
Safeguard yourself whether or not you are in a mlm with your own knowledge of how to market and convert online.
