Welcome to my BeautyCounter Mlm Review of the Beauty Counter Business Opportunity!
The Beauty Counter business opportunity was first opened up as a a new network marketing opportunity in March 4 2013.
Long before that, the founder, Gregg Renfrew (a die hard female entrepreneur) was thinking about the injustice that women have to put cancerous and harmful chemicals on their face and skin. Reportedly, Gregg came up with this after reading the book by Stacy Malkan called “Not just a Pretty Face.” Most women have no idea about the chemicals they have been putting on their face for years.
The Beauty Counter make up company (http://www.beautycounter.com/) is determined to be the most transparent makeup and skincare company around. They stringently research all chemicals and additives that are used in BeautyCounter products and shock the makeup community chemist when the turn down product additives that have been staples in the cosmetic industry for years.
When you think of the Beauty Counter MLM, think Chic, Organic and NOT Avon or MaryKay.
The Beauty Counter website is very detailed oriented. The first impression you get is CLEAN CUT and that’s exactly what Beauty Counter wants you to see. They are all about clean and clear from the way they run their business to the way they present their product packaging.
I especially admire their educational videos that inform viewers about the history of the cosmetic industry and the regulations that affect makeup and skincare products.
One really interesting fact they present is that over 1100 ingredients are banned in Europe for cosmetics, while in the US only 11 total products are banned.
Check out more neat info in this video.
“Women shouldn’t have to compromise their health in the name of beauty.” Gregg Renfrew.
The Beauty Counter Review – The Products
The products from BeautyCounter are comprised of skin care products and makeup along with shampoos and conditioners and, of course, anti aging skin care (like the Morinda Mlm).
Here are a few of the products and prices:
- Cream Cleansers – $24
- Hydrating Lotion – $43
- Night Cream – $75
- Lustro Face Oil 1 in Calendula – $68
- Vibrant Eye Protector – $58
- Lip Balm – $10
- Face Collection – $200
- Face Oil Collection – $185
- Pure Essential Oils product
- Lip Gloss – $29
- Lots of blushes and eye shadows
The BeautyCounter Products go through a thorough screening that evaluates each ingredient for hazards. An chemicals that are banned in the EU are immediately prohibited in the products.
Here is a list of probhibited ingredients for BeautyCounter Products: http://www.beautycounter.com/the-never-list/ I actually love this. I had to search for shampoos without the sodium lauryl sulfate for the longest time because of my sensitive skin. But perhaps my skin wasn’t sensitive after all. Check out the list…it’s pretty impressive.
In addition, ingredient interactions and their possible hazards in groups or mixes is also evaluated. If the BeautyCounter researchers find that they are even remotely associated with a negative effect, it is banned from the product.
For example, if an ingredient is known to cause cancer in rats but not yet tested in humans, it’s not allowed.
BeautyCounter products are made to be the safest makeup on the planet and with the stringent ingredient research and scrutiny, there is no doubt that may very well be the most harmless skin care products on the planet.
Makeup artists that work with “clean makeup” value and admire this approach. Once the ingredients are approved a second round of research begins where the designers and product researchers try to make the makeup that performs the best with the ingredients available.
One such makeup artist is Christy Coleman who works with some major Hollywood stars like Heidi Klum and Emmy Rossum.
Beauty Counter – The Compensation Plan
Beauty Counter has over 11,000 BeautyCounter Consultants.

Each of those consultants paid $85 to sign up to get started with a business kit. In addition to getting the product, $10 was also given to a charity that the consultant could choose to support.
The BeautyCounter upline consultant then would contact them and train them in how to sell BeautyCounter Products. To begin, as a new consultant, you get an exercise workbook and assignments along with goal setting activities. All of this aimed to prepare you to get into the right mindset to be successful in selling BeautyCounter.
This is quite impressive considering a lot of mlms (including ones I’ve been in) leave you alone to find your own way.

BeautyCounter Review – Should I Join?
The idea of offering completely transparent and safe beauty products is right on time for what seems a new wave of green conscious consumers.
This plays to maternal instincts to not only protect children from harmful chemicals but also to protect your own body while still being able to keep up with mainstream anti aging or skincare products.
Joining Beauty Counter as a Consultant isn’t a bad idea, especially if you love the product, but it is still network marketing.
You are going to have to have home parties and get togethers. I would say this is even more essential with the Beauty Counter products, because you have to educate and convey a sense of urgency for these products. You’re up against over a hundred years of makeup and cosmetic ingredients that people fail to see as hazardous. It will be your job to educate others and teach them why BeautyCounter is the best safe alternative to what some people have trusted for years in companies like Revlon, Estee Lauder and all the other big cosmetic brands out there.
If you are into makeup and socializing, then I say go for it! But if you cringe at the thought of trying to get parties together and then propositioning people to buy expensive makeup, then it’s probably better to figure out a way to sell this product OR find a whole different online money making opportunity.
Fortunately for you, I know a program that can not only help MLM addictions and newbies, but it can also help people who are looking to get out of or avoid mlms altogether.
The program?
It’s an online business model that really works (check out the reviews here) or you can check out the website I made and update weekly of the Job Killing Testimonials for people to view.
