My Doterra review – #2 of Essential Oils Reviews

Do Terra Essential oils has a compensation plan that is fairly simple compared to other mlm companies out there.

As with Young Living, do TERRA is trying to create a culture of healthy living and green supporting clients.

doTERRA claims to have the finest essential oils in the world. Through my research, I have found some people who would dispute this claim as they have tried Young Living oils and doTerra oils. One person I saw was a Young Living distributor and the other was not a mlm distributor for Young Living or doTERRA oils.

I found some notation on how doTERRA does not have access to some of the plants that they need the oils from and there is suspect that they use synthetics.

One review I found particularly interesting mentioned that the doTERRA wild orange oil smelled more like an orange creamsicle rather than a fresh cut orange and the writer used that as verification that doTERRA oils were not pure. It is good to note that perhaps the difference in smell is that of wild orange and just orange essential oil, however, without comparing the two and running analytical tests, I am unable to definitely comment on the purity of the doTERRA oils or any other oil for that matter.

Do TERRA distributors are also called “Wellness Advocates”.

DoTERRA is clearly impressive in their line of up of professionals who back and support their products. Many of the specialist have extensive experience with essentials oils and some even have experience in the essential oils industry.

I am curious if some of their founders or advisors worked with Young Living because Young Living essential oils was around prior to doTERRA and some had worked for a large essential oils company.

One of the reasons it is important to know who stands behind the doTERRA product and little bit about their history is so that you feel secure in knowing that educated individuals put a lot of time and effort into developing the company and continue to help make improvements to the company.

In addition to a purity issue, the FDA has not cleared the medicinal use of essential oils. The doTERRA supplemens include items like the MicroPlex VM Food Nutrient Complex, the Alpha CRS+ Cellular Vitality Complex and the xEO Mega Essential Oil Omega Complex. The Longevity supplement that doTERRA offers includes the Clarycalm monthly blend for women, bone nutrient lifetime complex for women, the phytoestrogen lifetime complex.

• Deep Blue – Uses the following essential oils- windergreen, camphor, peppermint, blue tansy, german chamomile,helichrysum and osmanthus. Good for achy muscles and pain. Comes in liquid and rub form.
• DigestZEn- Used to help your digestive system function properly. I was no able to see what was actually in the pills and what main ingredient was used for the Digest Zen. It looks like they use Terrazyme and Zendocrine. I’m guessing they also offer some type of probiotics in this blend.
• Elevation
• HD Clear- Used to keep you skin nice, it comes with face wash, a topical blend and lotion. I’m guessing this uses tea tree oil but did not find it in my search….but I didn’t’ really look super hard either.
• Immortelle
• InTune
• DoTERRA on Guard- consists of wild orange, clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus and rosemary for immune support. Offered in hand wash, toothpaste, cleaner and essential oils.

doTERRA Compensation Plan

1. Retail Profit – paid monthly

                DoTerra reps (also called wellness advocates) can earn 25 percent profit on doTerra products. This means if you sell $100 worth of product you can earn $25. Earning retail profit from doTERRA does not require a loyalty reward order above 100.

2. Fast Start Bonus – Paid Weekly

                This is a typical bonus offered in a lot of mlms across the globe. You earn extra money from getting starting in your first couple weeks to months. In the case of do TERRA, you must enroll new doTERRA reps within the first 60 days. When each enroller has 100PV loyalty rewards they are eligible to participate in the fast start bonus.

At the enrollment level 1 you earn 20% off of do TERRA essential oils product from anyone you enroll directly below you in your downline.

At Level 2 you earn 10% and at Level 3 you earn 5% from the doterra sales.

3. Power of 3 Bonus

                This bonus is made to encourage you to build you team and for you to understand the power in achieving three do TERRA reps at each level within your organization. There should be three reps under all of your personally sponsored doTERRA reps.

In order to qualify for the Power of 3 Bonus you must have 100 PV and 600 in team volume between you and your 1^st level that contains three do TERRA reps who also have 100 PV each.

At the 1^st level, you will earn $50/month per 3 in your first level that meet this qualification.

Level 2 will bring you in $250/month for the 9 qualified doTERRA reps you have in level 2.

Level 3 will bring in $1500 / month for the 27 qualified doTERRA reps at that level.

4. Preferred Member Sponsor Bonus – Paid Monthly

                doTerra reps can earn 15% on the Personal Volume from doTerra product purchases made by their preferred members according to the doTERRA comp plan.

The Performance pool shares allow you to earn additional shares for each new doTERRA rep that you personally sponsor at the Elite or Premier rank. If Elite, you pull from the Leadership Performance Pool, if Premier, it will be pulled from the Diamond Preferred Pool.

The doTERRA compensation plan starts to get a little confusing here but I will try to get the information in this do TERRA review to make some sense.

Leadership Performance Pool

• Silver – 1 share
• Gold – 5 shares
• Platinum – 10 shares
• Each of the above is eligible for 2% per each share in addition to the 3% Infinity performance pool.

Diamond Performance Pool

• Diamond – 1 share
• Blue Diamond – 2 shares
• Presidential Diamond – 3 shares
• Each of the above is eligible for 1% per each share on company volume

If you reach the Diamond Pool, Blue Diamond Pool or the Presidential Diamond pool, you will earn the 3% Diamond Pools bonus which is paid monthly on company volume.

Is there a doTERRA scam?

After checking out all that doterra has to offer, the statement that do TERRA is a scam does not seem to ring true.

DoTERRA has a thorough compensation plan and products that rival the best essential oils in the industry.

Do TERRA is the “newer” essential oils company on the market in comparison to some of the more established essential oils companies out there and that could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing.

In marketing, a “fresh” approach with a fresh company could be beneficial for advertising to a younger generation while longevity and experience is advantageous to their competitors.

Do TERRA has founders that have many years experience in all facets of multi level marketing and within the natural health and wellness product field.

doTERRA has an impressive 65% retention rate with their customers which is 55% higher than other mlm companies (according to the Do TERRA essential oils website. No other mlm in my mlm reviews has made this statement.

The reason behind such a high retention rate in this mlm company is reported as being because they have a high satisfaction level with their doTerra customers and the doTERRA distributors and for their lucrative mlm compensation plan.

Beyond The Do TERRA opportunity

Aside from offering several benefits with the doTERRA comp plan, they also offer many ways to give back through the doTERRA opportunity.

Should I sell doTERRA?

Selling doTERRA essential oils would not be a bad decision, however remember that doTERRA essential oils is a mlm.

DoTERRA has a nice compensation plan and plenty of resources on their website. The majority of resources that I found were about essential oils and about policy changes and guidelines from the different areas of the globe where doTERRA reps live.

Even though they do have a good compensation plan and have essential oils that are rivaling Young Living essential oils, mlm requires online marketing skills.

If you are interested in becoming a doTERRA rep, consider getting a mlm coach. With so many doTERRa reps, there is no doubt that you will encounter competition.
