The Keo Smart Home Company caught my eye this morning while working on my Valentus Review.
Why?
Well, because I had seen somewhere that KEO was entering the mlm industry, so naturally, my curiousity led me to do a little research on the KEO network marketing opportunity.
[UPDATE 2016 : Check out this review and then check out my JAQX Review (It’s where the founder of KEO is now…pretty interesting story)]
I first found the site very easily at http://mykeo247.com (the 24/7 for the surveillance you get with their program). Later when I searched again, I ran into the KEO marketing agency which is definitely not the mlm I saw. I even searched for the KEO compensation plan hoping to get a glimpse of the supposed business opportunity but I was not able to find it.
I did find a reference to the KEO247 site on a trusted mlm website though, so I went with it.
Right away, when I realized that KEO was in the home security niche, my ears perked up.
Within the past year, I spent time building out a home security site and it ranked really well…but never got any calls. I started to wonder why and the reason is that there are now companies like KEO that are the more DIY home security type things.
With wireless home security, you no longer really need companies like ADT and Guardian. (They are still trying to sell it like crazy though! If you build a new home, usually one of these security companies will come, sit down with you and give you their security wiring pitch.)
Companies like KEO have a great product and ones that people definitely want.
If KEO is becoming a network marketing or multi level marketing company then this, for the first time, might be one that I seriously consider!
Why?
Well, for one, everyone loves security.
For two, the new smart homes are becoming a commodity and they are increasing home values at a reasonable cost.
You don’t have to spend thousands (like with Powur) and you have a product that you can either sell with the home or take with you to your next home.
Many of the items are things I have already bought or thought of buying for my home, so that’s even more exciting.
KEO SMART HOME REVIEW – THE COMPANY
The Keo Company was founded in 2014
First off, here’s their mission:
“We understand that technology changes quickly, and we pride ourselves in providing our customers with first-to-market innovation, so you’ll be sure to stay on the cutting edge with a KEO system. Our solution is continually updated with new features and capabilities to ensure that your system gets smarter, does more and becomes more personalized over time.
From door locks to thermostats to security, we have curated the hardware, software, and cloud-based technologies necessary for a complete automation and security solution for any home or office.” -KEO Smart Home Company
KEO is a company that was founded in 2014 and the mlm opportunity was created in 2015 (as far as I’ve read). LOVE IT!
Basically KEO is hot off the presses and had a soft launch in October 2015. (two months before this post)
The KEO products help homeowners have smart homes.
Lead by a top network marketing earner, Tommy Wyatt, KEO network marketing is said to have been born. Now…who is Tommy Wyatt?
Tommy Wyatt wrote a book called “Appreciation Marketing” which aims to teach about honest and integrity laden (in a good way) mlm companies. Tommy has been in mlm since 1998 so the dude has some experience.
If you pay attention at all to successful entrepreneurs, you know at some point you have to go out on your own and do what the “big kids” in mlm are doing. Most entrepreneur books and sales books emphasize this (think Grant Cardone). You create your own economy and that looks like exactly what Tommy Wyatt is doing.
Smart guy so far!
He noted that ADT and Guardian or Vivinti kind of controlled the home security niches along with cellular and cable companies. Even with that, only 1% of homes in the US are “smart”.
He’s banking on the successful model of many mlms and network marketing companies out there, that the mlm approach to KEO Smart homes is the answer and to tell you the truth, I agree with him.
MLM is a word of mouth business and as social media becomes more and more popular and facebook starts to become more of a utility, knowing your way around the network marketing world is a huge benefit for any business owner who wants to sell a product.
Friends can sell to friends rather than trusting the sales guy who is desperate to make a sale (true story…don’t worry…we canceled with Guardian!)
People love the idea of Smart Homes and the marketing hasn’t matched up…so I agree wholeheartedly that mlm is the way to go with something like this.
IT is UNIQUE and that’s rare in the mlm world (it seems) these days. …with the exception of the Cabi Clothing, the Jerky Direct (weird), and a few others out there. This one seems the most practical.
KEO Company – What is it?
The Keo company is a smart home technology company that allows you to control nearly everything from a remote location. From watching your video feed to opening your garage door for your forgetful kids, the KEO product line is impressive to say the least.
The KEO Smart House Company offers a set up for you to make your home a “smart home” and really the idea is ingenius.
You can add on products slowly or buy a huge bundle all at once. This is where I get excited.
You see, mlms are based off of need and off the fact that most people will consume the product. I have always had a hard time seeing someone consistently paying for a herbal supplement or some weight loss coffee (see Javita or Valentus Review).
Sure, You’ll buy for a while, but what’s the retaining of customers really look like in a mlm industry like that?
When you hit me with home security, I see it totally different. People want home security and they want easy. They LOVE easy and the fast that KEO seems so easy sets you up to have a really kick ass company.
For one, people will buy the products to get started. Then, there is a $199 set up fee. (This is compatible to other security company set up fees). They buy the products they want that interact with their main hub in the home and they pay a monthly fee for the 24/7 monitoring.
That’s RESIDUAL….and it’s not AUTOSHIP. Autoship requires you to continue to receive product. KEO monthly payments are for the monitoring and safety of your home/family/kids.
It just makes more sense to me.
So what are the KEO products?
KEO SMART HOME NETWORK MARKETING – PRODUCTS
If I haven’t already said it…I wasn’t able to find the compensation plan, but I know people are going to want to know right away what type of products they will be selling with this KEO mlm.
Here’s an idea of how some of the KEO products will work!
If views are any indicator of where this product line ranks in popularity…it’s looks like KEO Smart House technology is a good idea.
So, here you go:
-
The Keo Smart Hub
-$199? (part of the set up fee)
This is the main hub that connects to your Ethernet and all of the sensors that you buy for your home. It allows you to do the following:
- Control Temperature of your home remotely
- View Security Cameras when you’re not home
- Control your house lights when you are away
- Open your garage door from anywhere!
- Received notification if any of your window sensors or motion detectors go off.
- Allows you to monitor loved ones
- Allows you to unlock or lock your doors (including the garage door) from a remote location
There are not wires and the only thing you connect to is your own Ethernet connection in the home. This will allow you to use any computer or your phone app to control your home.
-
The KEO Window Sensor/ Door Sensor
– $55.00
This is a great product and one I’ve been thinking of getting because I have a two story house and small kids in my home. I saw a story last winter of a little girl who died from freezing to death because she was able to sneak out of the house (I think she was 3 or 4 years old) and go outside during the cold weather. She locked herself out and was found dead the next morning. (This just tears my heart apart). Too little too late, the parents emphatically urged parents to get these window and door sensors that go off when either one is opened. Had that family had one, they would have saved their little girl.
-
Light Dimmer and Appliance Outler Timer –
$46
This is a nice product to set the mood or to protect your home when you are away. You can control it from your phone and it’s not like those old timers (like my grandmother had) that turn the lights on and off…although it can do that, you can also control it from afar to make it appear as if someone is home.
-
Keo Door Locks – Keyless Entry
– $168
I’ll tell you right now, I love this product. I bought a keyless entry pad for my old home because I was always losing my keys. This made it so easy for me to get home and not have to dig around for keys in my pocket, purse, bag or car. I was able to get in with ease and I loved it.
This particular keyless entry is a little better than what I had though because you can control it with a Key Fob or remotely. It’s pretty cool!
-
Keo Termostat –
$156
Another idea I love is this remote thermostat. Not only can you control it remotely, it actually starts to pick up on your daily patterns and adjusts itself to you. This means it can literally start to save you money on energy bills by lowering or raising the temperature while you are away from the home.
-
KEO Video Camera –
?
I must have missed the price on this one but it was probably around $100. This is just a typical part of a security system. It will go on and off according to the sensors that area triggered or whether or not you tell it to come one remotely. I like this idea for when my girls are older and my husband and I go out on a date. WE can check in and make sure there’s no hanky panky going on. You know what I mean?
-
KEO Garage Door Controller –
$105
I have mixed feelings about this one because it can open your garage door right when you open your front door. It can also be programmed to open when it sense you are near the house. I would worry that it would open while I was on a side street or just passing by. How would I know that the door was opened. I guess I would check the app.?
-
KEO Smart Home – Pin Pad –
$65
Great for the forgetful people like me who likely will misplace the Key Fob.
-
KEO Key FOB and panic button –
$40
I love the price on this thing. It’s very inexpensive and great for kids and old people (including myself!)
-
KEO Smart Home – Wireless Siren –
$230
Easily the most expensive thing on the entire KEO website, the KEO wireless siren is probably a must have if you are buying this for home security. It can alert your neighbors and the police of a home invasion.
-
KEO Smart Home – Tilt Sensor $52
This is a sensor that goes off when vertical doors go horizontal like basement windows or garage doors.
-
KEO – Light Bulb – $48
Yes…staying true to the mlm lifestyle, this product is a wee bit shocking to see. It’s a $48 light bulb. So there’s some more of your residual income. This is a product that is consumed for sure. It won’t be that often, but imagine if you have someone buy a whole slew of these light bulbs and then they all go bad at the same time! $48 a bulb! Why so expensive? They are dimmable and able to be controlled remotely via your Smart Hub.
-
KEO – Motion Sensor –
$91
Last but not least, I give you the KEO motion sensor. It’s reasonable cost for a motion sensor and it does what it says. It interacts with your hub and your wireless siren to keep your home safe.
So there you have it! The KEO Smart Home Company that will possibly be a network marketing, direct sales or mlm. Whatever you call it, either way, it’s kind of exciting!
Not to mention that technology is always changing so if you get a customer that loves this type of system and KEO home security keeps up with the times as they grow, then you have yourself lifetime customers and lifetime income.
KEO Smart Home – Compensation Plan
(The most likely scenario)
I was not able to find an actual KEO compensation plan. BUT, I’ve done enough mlm reviews that I can likely tell you what it will look like. (especially if they want to be competitive in the mlm world).
Keo already has an advantage because they are a unique mlm company. That, and they are a new mlm company.
So what would I expect in the KEO comp plan?
- Retail Commissions (no doubt)
- Fast Start Bonuses
- Residual monthly income (probably only after you have someone in your downline ….sucks)
- A percentage of what your downline sells
- Global Share that is likely 1% or so and only if you are in the upper tiers.
I would wonder how they would approach the monthly requirements in order to be eligible and I’m guessing it’s likely going to be that you have their minimum service. They might even have the Teir system set up so that you earn more if you have more protection.
So what are the KEO package?
There are three:
-
Keo Smart Start – $39.99 monthly payment
- $199 System set up
- Some basics for the home (see website)
-
Keo Smart Essentials – $49.99 monthly payment
- $199 System Set up
- Allows you to add additional devices to the Basic Set up
-
KEO Smart Awesomation – $69.99/month ( I love this name of this one!)
- $199 Set up
- Includes extra KEO products
- Includes LIVE video streaming
They are great packages. There is also an option to add Cellular service through Verizon or AT & T for $10 /month.
So, there are upsells all over the place and as KEO continues to grow and technology advances, there will always be upgrades and more for you to sell.
This reminds me of the Mary Kay or the Avon of mlm for the security niche.
It’s the first of it’s kind and it’s likely to be around for a long time.
Rest assured I will give you the KEO compensation plan once it’s released.
Even when it does come out, and as much as I love this opportunity, does it mean you can be successful?
How do you find people to buy your product if you don’t want to go door to door?
The reason I’m so excited about his particular opportunity is because I already know how to rank for something like this. I know how to sell something like this and how to get my local economy to take notice of something like this.
I know how to drive traffic for a product like this.
How do I know this?
It’s because I am in the program and taking advantage of millionaire mentoring that taught me how to do that. It’s the same program that taught me how to get this blog in front of people like you.
IT’s a powerful thing to own a business and know your way around the web and the coolest part is that you can do exactly what I did and earn thousands a dollars from home working on your computer like I did too!
Brad, former Empower Network dude from the Prosperity Team, use to earn up to 20K with mlms like this. He learned a ton. But he’s moved one to bigger things and those bigger things, he’s teaching me and a group of other people who decided that they wanted to start their own home business too!
Since then, Brad has had 100K months. It’s a dude like this that you want to listen to.

Hi Charissa,
Thank you for your positive review of our company.
You got most of it right on the money. Our KEO packages come with smart home equipment, so the ala carte pricing you included is mostly irrelevant. Also because you can actually purchase certain products elsewhere (Amazon, Ebay, etc) and add to your KEO smart home any time you wish.
We think we’ve created a winner. And while I understand you’re piggybacking off of the review to drive traffic to your own personal sponsoring system we absolutely appreciate your kind words. :)
Awesome! I’m glad you enjoyed the KEO Smart Home Review! I’d love to hear more about the network marketing opportunity that is being rumored out there! I really think your company products are spot-on with what people want these days and I’d love to hear more! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment!
Keo is going nowhere fast. Don’t join. You’re wasting your money!
Sadly, You are correct. Keo was my mystery mlm and no sooner had I tried to run the experiment, I got an update from the Co-Founder that they were “jumping ship”. Keo is going to be sold differently from what I understand. More to come….
Are you kidding me? It’s already over before it even started? This guy had the same ideas I’ve had for awhile. I just stumbled on this today.
Well, the founders jumped ship, but apparently they are still trying to save face. I have emailed the current “top line” and have not received a reply in a couple of weeks now.
Check out http://www.jobkillingreviews.com
i am trying to stop my services with KEO, and I don’t know how to do that. Please advise.
Hi Maureen, I feel your pain. Depending on the hour/minute/time of day? KEO may or may not answer the phone. Reportedly (at least this is what they told me) they are having phone issues that they don’t know about. At any rate! Here is what I was told to do to cancel my account: You have to email repsupport@keo247.com In the email subject put: Your Account ID, Full Name, Cancel. Here is what I did: “10326, Charissa Daman, Cancel”
Then in the BODY of the email you must provide this:
1. Your name
2. Your ID
3. Your home address
4. PLease Cancel
I also asked for a refund because my upline (founder) jumped ship right after I joined and there was NO support whatsoever. In addition, there were rumors about some questionable things happening. One thing I noticed is that when I had someone put information in as a LEAD, they never showed up on my back office. I did that because it is clear that I’m ranking for KEO keywords and most certainly should be showing some sort of activity…but it didn’t. So I tested it with some dumby emails and friend emails and Whoola!!!….No leads. Weird huh? I wonder where those leads went? So to make a long story short…I think you are wise to not JOIN KEO any longer. IN addition to now offering door to door sales or other means to sell the KEO systems, I just can’t see how the MLM structure would work. People are paying for an opportunity that is an uphill battle with these guys.
At any rate! I hope this information helps! Thanks for reading my KEO Smart Home Review!

I understand that the previous folks involved with KEO bailed on the business. I recently attended the soft launch of the new KEO. Previously I have worked with the new founders in a previous opportunity and we all had great success there. The team that is now in place for KEO2.0 is a strong quality team and I am looking forward to helping them launch. I am working closely with the founders to build a strong foundation for this cutting edge opportunity …so if you want to be a part of it…feel free to contact me or get your questions answered.
Thanks
