Trying to find out if I should join Gano Excel is probably best answered by following my motivation to complete this Gano Excel Review. (UPDATE: It’s because I’m psychic…just kidding. It looks like Gano Excel USA isn’t real…so maybe I somehow knew it would be a rather unimpressive mlm review…read on)
I have no clue what it is about this particular mlm but the fact that I have read so many Gano Excel Reviews and have contemplated skipping this review altogher tells me that I would never make money with Gano Excel.
There is just something I can’t stand about it. Well, maybe it’s quit a few things.
One of the Gano Excel Reviews I just finished reading was so aggravating because you could clearly tell they wrote it (more likely hired a non English speaker to write it) because it was so choppy and was so involved in just plugging in Gano Excel keywords.
The very end of the review even had “You should join me instead, stop wasting time”. Perhaps the owner of that blog was just as bored with Gano Excel as I was and hired someone out?
I’m not sure but I’m committed to giving you the best information on Gano Excel, especially since I found that you might not even be able to join Gano Excel if you live in the US or Canada.
Before we get too involved with my Gano Excel review, take a quick look at Brad’s video as to why he isn’t in Gano Excel and why learning local lead generation right now is probably one of the best times in US history.
Why listen to Brad Campbell? He’s earned over 100K in one month and he’s helping show people like me and you a better way to earn money online. I still research all these mlms so that I can continue to confirm and verify my decision to join this coaching opportunity and almost everyday I find that it is still the best decision!
Don’t worry, the Gano Excel Review is below the video, just scroll down if you’d rather read.
OK…so if you listened to the video and it makes sense, please schedule a call if you want in on Job Killing.
[Update: 2016 – I have TONS of Job Killing Testimonials for you! ]
If you’re still looking for mlm reviews or for information on Gano Excel, here it is:
Gano Excel Review – The Company
One of the interesting things I found while looking up the Gano Excel opportunity was that GANO apparently stands for something (at least according to the GANO USA site).
GANO = Greatest American Network Opportunity (clever..I guess)
Obviously this was just made up because GANO is not just an American Company.
Actually, from what I can tell, Gano Excel may not be an American company at all to do business with because you can’t join from their US website. You can buy their product but when you try to join, you get an error page.
The real name, Gano Excel, actually comes from a plan whose genus name is Ganoderma. Named after Ganoderma lucidum (Latin…and I believe it translates to something about skin and lucid meaning bright and flowing? I’m not sure..it’s just a guess)
Ganoderma lucidum is a mushroom herb from over 2,000 years ago and considered a miracle herb in many Asian cultures.
Gano Excel was founded by Mr. Leow Soon Seng who relentlessly researched ways in which to grow Ganoderma lucidum to best access the therapeutic components of the mushroom. He eventually got to a point where he perfected an extraction process that allowed Ganoderma lucidum to be placed in products and able to reach millions of customers.
If you didn’t already know, Gano Excel does this with coffee drinks and supplements.
The Gano Excel company grows it’s own mushrooms for it’s products.
The Gano Excel timeline:
1999 – Gano Excel coffee popped up on the scene.
2000- Gano Excel came to the United States and Canada
2005-Gano Excel goes on to become a network marketing /mlm/direct sales company by never paying advertising and paying it’s “loyal customers” instead.
2010- Gano Excel launches with it’s Coffee campaign and off goes the sales
2013-Gano opens in Irwindale, Rialto, Fresno, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas and Denver with distribution centers.
In January of 2013, the FEDS also shut down Gano Excel and banned them from running the US and Canada.
So is that true?
I’ve searched to try and find this answer and the best I was able to find was the fact that when I went on the Gano Excel site to try and join I got this:
When you click on the “Get Started” it has an error.
Then, when it did work a few days later, it gave me an option to call a phone number instead.
Gano Excel USA Review – Gano Cafe and Products You Might Sell
Here’s some of the Gano Products:
I did find this for the Gano Excel Starter packs but as stated before all leads to nothing:
I really hate that Gano Excel is trying to sell to Americans by pushing patriotism and their own Gano Excel. The video is clear that they are trying to tap into American patriotism. What bothers me is the company is not American. For me, pushing that much patriotism is most appropriate for a company that is actually American.
No..I’m not against a global economy nor am I against patriotism, but make it authentic PLEASE.
Here’s the video so you can see for yourself:
The video does tell you about the Gano Excel Pillars:
- Socialize
- Harmonize
- Actualize
- Revitalize
- Energize
- But the rest of the video talks about sharing: Share – Tell friends and family and help them have a better life (wow!) You share for everyone’s future who strive for freedom and want the American Dream.
I found a mlm review site that even claimed that Gano Excel is a part of the DSA, however, when I went to the Direct Selling Associate directory, there is no option for them in the US and they are not listed for a mlm in Canada.
Looks like Gano Excel is MIA.
I even spent quit some time trying to find US distributors to join through their site, and again, I was unable to get anywhere.
The only way I could get the Gano Excel products was through Amazon
GANO EXCEL USA REVIEW – The Compensation Plan
Rather than bore you with the Gano Excel compensation plan, I found a resource that you can find the information easily on your own:
Fast Action Plan http://www.ganoexcel.us/geadmin/uploads/file-FS_Sept14_ENG.pdf (57 pages long)
Yeah…you read that right. It’s a 57 page long Gano Excel Compensation Plan PDF entitled the “Fast Action Plan”.
I’m not sure 57 pages is appropriate for Fast Action.

Gano Excel USA – Pyramid Scheme?
So let me stop beating around the bush here.
Gano Excel got shut down. It was seen as a pyramid scheme and it doesn’t appear to have recovered in the US for that.
That’s the problem you get when joining a mlm like Gano Excel and it’s where all those horrible mlm scam stories come from.
The easiest way to avoid mlm scams and illegal pyramid schemes is by not joining and avoiding mlms in the first place.
You won’t have to worry about seeing headlines like this:
“Gano Excel – Criminal Felony Charges Against CEO Leow Sun Seng In Peru”
Then there is also this:
Gano Excel FDA Warning
http://www.fda.gov/ICECI/EnforcementActions/WarningLetters/2004/ucm146343.htm
So what is a pyramid scheme?
The Gano Pyramid Scheme was defined as a schemed because people are recruited into a “pyramid” of distributors who are signed up for autoship programs for monthly purchases. Then, the distributors are involved in recruiting other people who are also encouraged to get more distributors. Each time they get new distributors they get paid with more commission, bonuses and move up in hierarchy in the pyramid. The personal purchases hid the fact that the most of the money is made by the recruits rather than the product itself.
MLMS like Gano Excel perform so close to this line of being a scheme or not being a scheme because of how they promote the product. If the mlm opportunity does not disclose that the likelihood of making money is slim or that they pay will help them become super wealthy when the majority is not, they are more likely to be shut down by the government.
In many mlms, sadly, people spend a lot of money for the “opportunity” to make money and many drop out for a variety of reasons.
Gano Excel is the type of mlm that helps me prove the exact reason as to why I nixed the idea of Empower Network IPAS2 and other mlm companies and decided to join Job Killing instead.
Actually, I don’t have to sell anything in Job Killing if I don’t’ want to.
I can actually sell whatever I want or just build websites, do affiliate marketing or a variety of other things that I could do without selling mlm products.
Job Killing has taught me so much about onlie marketing and it truly is a great online coaching site to learn almost anything I want.
Actually, I feel as though I could literally join any mlm and succeed with the Job Killing training but I choose not to because I’m learning to create my own economy instead.
Why bother joining a mlm like Gano Excel? Why risk have the FDA shutting them down like Vemma?
It’s just not smart.

Look for longevity in an online opportunity program and you’ll likely find yourself more successful and way better off without struggling to get your friends and family to join your opportunity.
If you are researching a mlm and you keep running into scam and pyramid scheme reports or information of former CEO’s leaving and starting new companies like what has happened with Gano Excel, then it might be a better idea to move on to another company.
Why bring this up? There are rumors of GanoExcel having a CEO that left and started his own GanoLife which is very much a copycat of GanoExcel. Although, the GanoLife is actually set up better and you can click on the links and find real GanoLife Distributors.
In addition, as recent as last year, Gano Excel had to recall products due to allergens not being disclosed in their products.
It’s all a little too fishy for me.
Like I already stated in this Gano Excel Review, I’d choose to join Job Killing and learn how to build my own company before I’d join a mlm company with a suspicious beginning, middle or end of “life”.
I joined with my other friend! We thought your post needed some excitement! We’ll come back when we have made thousands!!! We think Gano is perfect for college girls.
Huh? I find your comment weird but I do hope that you make thousands! I’d love for you to not be a typical example of the statistic of over 95% of people failing in mlm.
I tried joining Gano Excel, Beachbody and now I was thinking of doing Jeunesse after seeing your last blog post. But, then I realized that maybe I need to get out of mlm and try the online coaching that you let us know about.
Robin, It’s nice to see you be such a go getter. I highly recommend the Job Killing opportunity because of the fact that you build your own “empire” in a sense. You learn a lot about online marketing and then some. All skills can help you should you go back to mlm for sure.
Gano Excel does exist. I actually just signed up for the Gano Opportunity. My best friend is making a killing with it!
Best of luck!
Hi Charissa,
I just stumbled onto you blog and I have to say that you are no alone in your confusion regarding Gano Excel. I hope to add some clarity to the points of confusion.
Gano Excel is a Malaysian based company, but when they opened in the US, they partnered with Bernardo Chua. Unfortunately for Gano Excel, Mr. Chua liked the idea of enriched coffee so much that he started his own company, Organo Gold who resells ganoderma enriched coffees and other products, however they use a crushed power versus an extract like Gano Excel. Gano Excel’s formula is proprietary, like the formula for Coca Cola. Mr Leow began studying ganoderma in 1980, and 15 years later in 1995 he launched Gano Excel in Malaysia. So Gano Excel is a 20 year old company backed by 35 years of R&D. Gano Excel uses a blend the 6 most potent varieties of the over 200 different types of Ganoderma and each variety targets a different area of the body giving a full body targeted effect. The other so called “competitors” can’t say say that.
As for GanoLife, there is an ongoing lawsuit against it’s founders on multiple fronts. I have been an affiliate with Gano Excel since November of 2010 when the North American division was run by the current CEO of GanoLife. In 2010 the North American Management, led by Joven Cabasag, started a coupe, by literally telling every affiliate at Gano Excel that they were “Rebranding” the company and changing the name to GanoLife. This practice of deception has further added to Gano Excel’s misfortune in the US Market. The bottom line, is that the Malaysian ownership, led by Mr. Leow Soon Seng, trusted both Mr. Chua (Organo Gold), and Mr Joven Cabasag (GanoLife). Unfortunately, greed got the best of both of these individuals and I would like to say that anyone who is looking for a real opportunity in Network Marketing (MLM) should definitely stay away from these knock-off companies. Gano Excel International is the Category Creator of Ganoderma enriched product and it is a debt-free, solid, stable giant currently operating in over 70 countries around the world. It is only a matter of time before we see it rise from the adversity it has faced in the Americas. I know because I have lived it since 2010.
The last thing I will say is Network Marketing & MLM is great industry as is the industry of affiliate or online marketing in which you now find yourself participating. The truth is there are real MLM opportunities, just like there are real online opportunities. The difficulty is in finding the right opportunity because of all the scams.
Thank You for your due diligence and review of Gano Excel and best of luck to you with your coaching program.
Cheers,

Shayler,
Thanks so much for your addition to my Gano Excel blog post. It definitely is interesting to see someone in the “thick” of it and dealing with what some call a mlm scam. I had no idea that Organo Gold and Gano Excel had this somewhat “rocky” relationship. I like the idea of extracts over powder any day. Again, this is something I didn’t realize. I would say you guys could make a good recovery just by continually pushing information like this and sharing success stories.
I’ve seen too many failures and fakes lately. I’d love to send people to your personal site for such a great addition to my article. Just respond via comment and I’ll let it go through. The last one escaped me.
Thanks again! Good luck with your Gano Excel drama. I hope it turns out good for you!
It was my pleasure and thank you so much Charissa!
