Hey Hey! Welcome to my Valentus Review!
I saw Valentus pop up on npros or mlmrankings, (truly, I can’t remember) and so I have had this information sitting aside waiting for today….the day I write the Valentus Review.
Generally, before I do a review, I research all the other mlm reviews out there, thoroughly go through the mlm website and get as best a feel of the mlm company that I can before I start writing.
Like many writers, I hit writer’s block. I may know a ton about what I’m writing about but I’m just not motivated enough or have any great ideas about how I want to approach the review in order to start it.
For example, I have a Gano Excel Review hanging out right now in my computer. I have tons of information on the Gano Excel Opportunity but I just can’t bring myself to write much about it yet.
It’s almost like homework.
So this Valentus Review is kind of like holding my attention and giving me an excuse to not write the Gano Excel Review until I’m ready. (Probably not the best way to run a blog about mlm reviews, but who wants to read something I didn’t even want to write, right?)
So let’s get to this!
I know why you are here.
No, I’m not psychic, but I was just like you.
I was looking for an opportunity to join so that I could make money at home. Many of you reading this probably were told about the Valentus opportunity from a friend and it peaked your interest. Perhaps, some of you have such a bad work environment (Me! Me! Poster child right here!) that you are bound and determined to find something, ANYTHING, to get out of it without sacrificing the loss of income between “jobs” and maybe gaining more freedom and money in the process.
Multi- Level Marketing companies tend to cater to the desire to leave a JOB and to those who may be fed up with the corporate world and want to learn to make money from home.
MLMs? Network Marketing Opportunities? Direct Sales? They are all the same thing.
Basically, they are smart companies that realize the power of social pressures and, in a weird way, gossip and networking, to help spread their company mojo.
Mlms usually sound too good to be true and if you have friends in it, they may or may not be making a good amount of money from home from them.
They will certainly get your attention with their enthusiastic rants about their company and their often overbearingly happy messages about being your own boss and the “potential” to make a ton of money.
Naturally, you wanted to investigate the Valentus Opportunity and see if you should join. (It’s what smart people do, they research first and then make a decision.)
Before I get into this Valentus review though, I want you to meet Brad.
Brad Campbell is a millionaire. Actually, I’ve been getting millionaire mentoring from him for close to a year now. (Good Decision on my part)
Brad was making over 20K a month in an mlm called Empower Network. He’s had 2K months and all the way up to 100K months so the dude knows what he’s talking about when it comes to making money from home with mlm or without it.
Check out what he thinks of mlms now, even though he’s made thousands from them before:
(fyi- Your Valentus review is right below this video)
If you watched the whole video and you can already tell this is the opportunity that is for you (Job Killing) then by all means, let’s get you started with a strategy call. (Yes…we will ask you why you want to join Job Killing, how you found us…etc… because we want you to be a right fit for the opportunity)
Or check out more information on Job Killing here
If you’re not digging it. It’s ok and I totally understand. I’m still here to give you that Valentus Review!
So here goes:
Valentus Review – Another Health MLM Company
Website: www.valentus.com
So, who made Valentus? It was a guy named Dave Jordan. But do you really care about who made it?
Probably not. It’s more likely that you want to know more about the product and the Valentus Business Opportunity. However, including the leadership of mlm companies is probably not a bad thing to know. Just think about the whole Vemma Scandal or Herbalife(1). With such bad press making the news and rarely seeing any good press, it’s hard to determine the truth when it comes to mlms.
Making sure you learn more about the opportunity and compensation plan is probably more of what you are interested, because that is what you will be having to live, eat and breathe for a while.
So, what is Valentus?
Valentus is a multilevel marketing company that focuses on Health/wellness and Coffee. (like Gano Excel, Javita, etc…)
Valentus Reveiws – The Valentus Product Line
As of the time of this Valentus mlm review, the Valentus Product line consists of only 4 products.
I kind of like it when mlm companies have very little products because you can gain control and knowledge of one product base. Then if the company does grow, you can grow with them and master each new product line as it comes along.
It can be a bit overwhelming to try and sell mlm products when there are so many, so as far as a mlm to join as a new mlm marketer, it might be the best thing to start with a company that is smaller like Valentus.
What are the Valentus Products?
The Four Valentus Products are:
- Prevail Slim Roast – Basically this is an appetite controlling, weight loss coffee supplement.
- Prevail Energy – Energy Boost that claims to work within minutes.
- Prevail Immune Boost – This is essentially an antioxidant and vitamin drink mix.
- Prevail Trim – This claims to help you control your weight.
How much do the Prevail products cost?
Generally when I hop online to find a price of a mlm product, I can find it on Amazon.
Today was an “off” day as I was only able to find this:
Hahah! It’s an undergarment! Not exactly what you want to try and sell right?
So where do I go next?
I head on over to Ebay to see if there is anything showing up.
What did I find?
Found it. It looks like you can expect to pay anywhere from $44 to $50 for a 24 pack of the Prevail Slim Roast.
That comes to about $1.83 to just over $2.00 per drink.
I guess if you forgo your Starbucks and consider this Valentus product as one of your vitamin supplements and coffee fix for the day, $2.00 isn’t that bad.
Then again, you can buy some vitamins and a pack of coffee that will last way longer than 24 days (assuming you have just one drink a day).
I’m not against this product, it’s just that I think it would be hard to sell.
Are there really that many people out there who are going to give up their traditional cup of coffee for a powered drink mix?
Valentus reps will try to sell you this product by telling you that coffee is the second most consumed beverage on Earth, which might be true. You have to take into consideration the whole social aspect of coffee too. People gather around the coffee pot and it’s a forms of socialization. When you take that out of the picture, coffee becomes less wanted in a way. And…did I mention it’s just a powder you pour into a cup of water?
Here’s what’s in the Slim Roast from Valentus:
Non GMO Dark Roast Coffee, Chlorogenic Acid, Garcinia Cambogia 95%,Phaseolamin, Cassiolamine Green Tea 100:1 Extract, Ginseng 100:1 Extract, L-Carnitine with Chromium.(2)
Ok, so maybe you’re not too bothered by the powdered drink bit and you think that you would likely do well selling this product.
Let’s talk about how you can make money with Valentus.
Valentus Review – Valentus Compensation Plan
The Valentus compensation plan is very similar to most other mlm company compensation plans out there.
You basically get incentives for starting out fast, retail commissions and then the bulk of your money is made off of the people you convince to bring into the opportunity.
Here are the main ways you can make money with the Valentus Compensation Plan:
- Retail Commissions – Pretty good at 25%!
- Fast Start Bonus Up to $100
- Legacy Coded Bonus – $100 Unblocked to Unlimited Levels (good compared to other mlms)
- Dual Team Commissions up to $100,000 per week (Oh, is that all?)
- Dual Team Matching Bonus – Up to seven generations and starting at 25%
- 1% Global Volume from a shared enrollment pool
- Car Bonus $400 to $3000 monthly (But what do you do when the company shuts down or there is some hold up? You’re still stuck with a car bill, wouldn’t you just rather have the money?
Valentus states that the Valentus compensation plan was created by four “top pay plan experts” to make the compensation plan to help you reach the lifestyle of your dreams faster than ever before with an emphasis being on the word “faster”.
If you think that this is kind of confusing, I agree. It’s not just the Valentus Compensation paln though. Most mlm companies have levels and layers you have to dissect in order to understand.
First of all, you have to Join Valentus first. To do that you pay a $20 activation fee for the back office. (one time fee).
Then you have to choose which type of entry “power” you want to have when you sign up as a Valentus Independent Representative (IR).
Here are the 4 different levels in which you join the Valentus Business Opportunity:
- Basic = $59 that buys you one box and gets you qualified.
- Starter = $129 that buys you three boxes and qualifies you at the Gold level for the first two months. (You’ll see what the levels do later…basically…you get more money)
- Advanced= $199 that buys 6 boxes and gives you the Platinum pay status for two months.
- Business Builder = $499 and 16 boxes (you better be ready to promote!) and you are qualified as a Ruby Level in Valentus. If you do the autoship for 6 months, you then qualify at the Emerald Level. (these jewel levels remind me of the Beachbody compensation plan)
Fortunately, Dave Jordan (remember the guy who founded Valentus?) made some videos that explains each part of the compensation plan probably better than I can type it.
But here’s to the good ole’ college try anyways:
The Retail Commission is pretty easy to understand. You get 25% of the sales. IN order to earn money from your retail sales, you have to purchase 50BV (I’m guessing which means spending $59 each month).
If you refer two customers at the basic level each month, you don’t have to worry about the 50BV to keep you qualified for retail sales commissions.
Fast Start Bonus : Basically, you earn money based on bringing people in and selling the Valentus Packages. For the Basic, Stater, Advanced and Business Builder, you get paid $20, $40, $60 and $100 in fast start bonus repectively.
Legacy Enrollment Bonus – $100 Paid Weekly if you sell the business Builder Packs. You have to be Ruby Qualified for this.
Dual Team Cycle Commissions that are paid $20 per cycle weekly.
This is just too much of a chart to put in this Valentus review, so here’s the video.
(Gotta love videos)
The Dual Team Matching bonus – Paid Weekly
This pays up to 7 generations and checking out their chart from the Valentus Comp Plan pdf is probably the best way to check this out.
Here’s what I was able to snip for you:
And of course, here is the video:
Even better than the Valentus Compensation Plan video or the jpegs I found?
It’s the actual Valentus Compensation plan pdf, which you can find here: http://www.valentus.com/htdocs/CompensationPlan.pdf
Global Volume and Car Bonus – Both of these kind of make sense just from their titles so no big explanation needed here.
The Valentus Compensation Plan – Chains and Shackles
The Valentus Compensation plan (like many mlms) require some sort of autoship. I’m not sure of many mlms that don’t require the autoship in order for you to earn at the higher levels of the mlm opportunity. The lowest you can do on autoship is 50BV and the highest is 100BV so it’s not too bad.
The Valentus compensation plan also mentions bonuses and what’s crazy is as you start to get more into depth with the Valentus comp plan you start to notice how much it starts to remind you of the corporate world. Monthly paid bonuses and all these rules and regulations. Is that really a “be your own boss” business?
Even when you look at the Mary Kay Consultant Review that I compelted, as you gain rank, you have more “rules” and some mlms even require office hours! (Not that there isn’t a problem with office hours, but when a “boss” tells you that you have to do it, it’s not like you’re your own boss anymore)
Valentus Review – Should I join Valentus?
The company seems legit. So saying Valentus is a scam doesn’t seem appropriate.
But, it’s a mlm.
What does that mean?
Well, multi level marketing companies are NOTHING without their levels. The levels are built by you building a team of people who also build teams.
MLM requires that you build a team that sells the same products you do.
I don’t know if you were paying attention or not when looking over the Valentus comp plan I explained above or not, but you should notice the theme….which is you need people.
IN order to make money with Valentus or most other mlms, you have to be a master recruiter.
To be a master recruiter, you’re going to need people to recruit.
This means that you have to create and get traffic and well over 80% or more of the people that join do not know the first thing about generating traffic online.
Actually, there’s a dirty little statistic out there that says 97 to 98% of all mlm peeps fail.
So if you have to pay $59 for a 24 pack of Valentus products (wholesale price) but you have to sell it on ebay for $43.95, how is that a profit?
Do you understand what that means?
All these people have the Valentus powder drink mixes on autoship and are just trying to get some money back.
This is not a good thing.
So, should you join Valentus?
Sure, if you have mad skills, believe in the product and know that you “kill it” because you area master on online traffic.
But, did you know there is a better way?
There is.
Need to see Brad again?

This is not what it seems. 30 days and they cancel your mlm and force you to purchase $50 or more per month in product. If in fact you bought the $499. 00 membership and got cancelled because you did not buy a monthly order you would have to pay that again. This is a way for the company to insure customers by forcing members to purchase. The product is not impressive. You have to dilute it in normal coffee to get through the taste and after taste. It does have a “speed” effect caused by the ginseng and there have been side effects along with physical symptoms. Do not take this lightly. The FDA is now looking into this product.
Skylar, Thank you for the update! I’ll dig a little bit and see what I can find out. If you have any references, please share! I’m sorry to hear about your disappointment. I, myself, have been disappointed by mlms in the past which is one of the reasons I started this mlm review blog. My goal is to get others like you reporting on what really goes on behind the scenes. I’d love to give the truly good mlms that are truly transparent a chance to shine and the ones who boot you out (if that is what happens) while you’re trying to be exposed. Thank you for checking our my Valentus Review. I’ll definitely check out the FDA comment!
It is unfortunate that you had this experience. You should have just purchased the product as a customer and received the same discount that you get if you decide to earn as a federal agent or distributor. To be a customer you can order as little or as much as you like and there is nothing to lose except fat! You can add anything you like to the coffee drink so that you like the taste. Remember it is a product consumed for weight reduction and has lots of great safe ingredients approved and sold all over the United States and overseas. Dr OZ promotes most of the Ingredients on his website we are just lucky to have them all in one product! It is also sad that because you bought a business. User pack that no one taught you how to build a business that’s what I do for a living. Good luck to you
Thanks for chiming into the Valentus Review. I didn’t realize the majority of the ingredients were “Dr. Oz” approved. I appreciate your input. Thanks!
