What is Oriflame?
Welcome to my Oriflame Review. I will go over the Oriflame business opportunity, the compensation plan and even the products so you can decided if you should join Oriflame.
Oriflame Cosmetics or just plain Oriflame is a multi level marketing company that has a rich background.
In this review, you will find that Oriflame has been around for a long time, but that they have a ways to go in regards to their online presence and the functionality of the Oriflame Website.
Although they may have a huge worldwide presence, Oriflame lacks some serious online musts.

Oriflame Review: The Company
Oriflame Holding AG is a mlm company from Sweden that, until recently, was known as Oriflame Cosmetics.
Founded in 1967, this company was founded by two men named Jonas af Jochnick and Robert af Jochnick.
These two men are still on the Board for this company, but the company itself is run by several other network marketing corporate officers.
Familiar names of the Oriflame business:
- Alexander af Jochnick was born in 1971 (I’m assuming he is the son of either Jonas or Robert) and obtained a degree in Business Administration
- Jonas af Jochnick was born in 1937 and has been on the board since 1970. He has Masters in Business Administration from Harvard
- Robert af Jochnich who was born in 1940 and has been on the board since 1970. He has a degree from Stockholm University.
- There are others on the board, however I wanted to point out that the founders and a family member is still active on the board.
The company has been traded since 2004 and it reminds me a lot of Avon and MaryKay because they sell personal care items, accessories, perfume and nutritional products.
Currently Oriflame Cosmetics is an international multi level cosmetic company that is present in over 62 countries across the globe.
According to Wikipedia, they have over 3 MILLION direct marketing associates and brind in over 1.3 billion in sales eacy year.
Interesting Factoid: Oriflame was named after Oriflamme (a royal banner from medieval France)
Oriflame Cosmetics is no doubt a huge mlm company with a lot of influence in the Swedish world.
Thay have a presence in the following places
- Europe is huge with the following countries being more active online than others.
- Portugal
- Sweden
- UK
- Asia
- Latin America
- Africa

Oddly enough, I was able to find the Oriflame USA address (clearly fake) but no information other than a few bloggers who mention the opportunity.
Here’s the address I found:
P.O. box 977
Waxhaw NC 28173
Phone: 704 843 3102
Fax: 704 843 3792
I didn’t call, but if you do, please comment below and tell me what the deal is!
Being a worldwide company it should come as no surprise that there are many ways that I have found Oriflame being spelled. Here’s some of the misspellings I have found. Some are really quite amusing!
- Orifleme (think mucus?)
- Orilame
- Oruflame
- Orflam
- Oriflein
- Orflam
- Oriflem
- Orflame
Oriflame Reveiw: More about Oriflame
Oriflame claims that their number one mission is to be the #1 Direct Selling Beauty Company in the world. This idea is grand and they are doing well achieving it, however lacking a presence in the US is probably something they need to work on. (Hopefully they have already starting a launching of this mlm opportunity in the US but I wasn’t able to find any information on it. If you have some, please share in the comments below)
Honestly…selling Swedish cosmetics in the USA is a great idea. There is a bit of an advantage if you associate the word “Swedish” in the US. Americans have a belief that the Swedish products are more elite or better than their American counterparts and I see these type of cosmetics really giving Avon and MaryKay a run for their money if they arrive on our soil.
For one, Oriflame will be the new kid on the block and everyone loves new. For two, it’s Swedish.
I have no idea why Americans think that Sweden is the capital of fabulous looks and skincare, however, if I were Oriflame I wouldn’t waste my time figuring it out. I’d launch Oriflame in the US yesterday and get going on promoting the cosmetics and the other Oriflame products.
Oriflame, like many mlms, strives to help you achieve a better lifestyle. Here is what Oriflame states as their main core values:
- Togetherness
- Spirit
- Passion
They want to make the world a better place.
If you have been following my mlm reviews, you should be saying :”This sounds familiar”
Oriflame Review | The Products
Each factory – whether in Poland, India, Sweden, China or Russia – manufactures quality products using the latest technologies and taking the environment into consideration.
The Oriflame products are created and tested by over 100 scientists at the Skin Research Institute. I couldn’t find the exact name of this institute, however it was mentioned several times on the Oriflame website.
Once created and patented, the oriflamme products are sent to a Product Development center that is located in Dublin, Ireland.
Oriflame Review – The Oriflame Katalog
The Oriflame Catalog (Katalog) contains the following catagories:
- Skin Care
- This is the part of their UK website that was unfinished.
- Wellness
- Wellness supplements for Men & Women
- Nutritional Shakes (Remember Shakeology?)
- Colour Cosmetics
- Very Me Oriflame Make up
- Oriflame Beauty – Trendy and professional makeup
- Giordani Gold
- Fragrances
- They offer Men, Women, Youth (trendy) and Limited scents
- Personal and Hair Care
- Way too many to list!
- Accessories
- Way too many to list!
One of the more annoying factors about Oriflame is that their website is NOT super friendly. I found several links all over the place with errors.
If you are in Oriflame (Uk, Sweden…wherever), I highly recommend NOT using the Oriflame online website that they provide you because quite frankly….their corporate site sucks.
I can’t even imagine how it is so bad.
The good news is, is that if you build your own Oriflame Blog or website, all you have to do is redirect people from your site about the product to your final sales page. This is a good thing. Save your prospects from suffering the horrible web interlinks and the jungle that the Oriflame website presents.
Oriflame Review – The Oriflame Compensation Plan
To become an Oriflame consultant is easier than you think.
There are no fees to join as an Independent Consultant. Once you sign up you get 20% off of your Product orders.
That being said, this is a mlm…so of course there are requirements you have to meet before making money.
Here is what they have on the UK sight:
“With every one of your first 3 Catalogues you can start receiving some of our favourite products completely FREE!
Collect over £70/€95 in gifts when you achieve 75 BP (£97.50/€134) sales in each of your first 3 FULL Catalogues.
These MUST be 3 consecutive catalogues. If you miss your first Catalogue, you can restart in your second.”
Basically, you have to order and sell to get free products.
In addition, there is a typical mlm structure for the Oriflame Comp Plan. Rather than me trying to explain it, here is a neat video for your viewing pleasure.
With the simple selling model you can start your own beauty business as an independent Consultant, without any financial risk. It’s free to join and you will receive 20% discount on your orders. You decide how much you do and how far you go – and we are here to support you along the way.
As you can see, the Oriflame compensation plan is a typical mlm comp plan filled with levels, bonuses and more.
Oriflame review – What is Oriflame Daniman Girisis?
As I was researching this business opportunity I ran across this term and was curious what it was.
It turns out that it is Turkish and translate to:

Oriflame Review – The Verdict
Is Oriflame a scam or a legitimate business opportunity?
Obviously this company is a contender in the world wide global market for multi level marketing opportunities. However, there is a reason they are everywhere but in the North American market.
I could guess it likely has to do with the Oriflame compensation plan not complying with the Federal requirements. I have no idea really and to tell you the truth, I have a better business opportunity that doesn’t rely on MLM.
Oriflame is the perfect example.
What if you join a mlm like this one and they go under or they are shut down by the local governments?
What do you do then?
It is FAR better to have multiple streams of income from all places coming in and I know just the program that can help you do that.
Job Killing Coaching teaches you to build your own local leadgen business that brings in a variety of streams of income so that not all of your eggs are in one basket.
Job Killing is International.
We have members from Australia, the US, the UK, Norway….everywhere.
Are you going to be smart enough to be the first to create a footprint with this business model in your hometown or country?
Here is what Brad Campbell (former MLM big hitter who left it by the wayside) has to say about mlms:

Great site! I came across your site by accident when looking up Oriflame reviews and trying to find out more about the business opportunity. I appreciate your work on this! I’ve bookmarked your site and I will be back!
Thank you! I appreciate that.
Oriflame has tried doing business in the United States in the 90s. It was a total disaster for them as they had lost money because Oriflame couldn’t compete with other brands, particularly Avon and Mary Kay. I don’t think they’d be ready to have another attempt in the near future.
