MLM Reviews: Shopping Sherlock Compensation Plan
Generally I would start with a Shopping Sherlock Review, but I’m mixing it up and telling you about the Shopping Sherlock Compensation Plan first and then I’ll ease on into the Shopping Sherlock opportunity.

There are nine ways in which you can make money with Shopping Sherlock.
- Sherlock Usage Income
- 20% Overide of Sherlock Usage Income
- Fast Start Bonus
- Sales Cycle Bonuses
- Subscription Cycle Bonus
- Team Building Bonus
- Global Check Match
- Diamond Global Check Match
- Equity Program
There you have it. Now if you are new to mlm, you are probably thinking WTF? What the heck are Fast Start Bonuses and Global Check Matches?
If you’ve been mlm for a while, you are probably wondering what the usage income is because I know I am.
This is the first time, in all the mlm reviews I’ve completed, that there is something called a Usage Income.
Because there are so many parts to the Shopping Sherlock Compensation Plan, I’m going to elaborate on each part of the comp plan so that there are no questions left about the Shopping Sherlock compensation plan.
The Thorough Shopping Sherlock Compensation Plan
The first way you earn money is the Shopping Sherlock Usage Income. This form of compensation involves Shopping Sherlock sharing the Affiliate incomes with Shopping Sherlock Affiliates.
The Lead Generation, Pay-Per-Sale, Pay-Per- Offer and Daily Deals all are a part of the Affiliate income.
Once you join Shopping Sherlock, you are able to give away as many Sherlock Web Apps as you want.
How are the Shopping Sherlock Affiliate commissions calculated?
The commissions are posted on the last day of the month following the month of activity. So there commissions are on a 2 month delay. What you make in September in commissions won’t be posted until November. This is the longest wait I’ve seen in mlm companies.
The second way a Shopping Sherlock will earn money is qualifying to earn the 20% override bonus from the Shopping Sherlock Usage Income earnings made by their front line (all of the people they personally sponsored into the Shopping Sherlock opportunity).
You earn 20% on the following:
- Lead Generation
- Pay per Offer
- Pay Per Sale
- Daily Deals Commissions
IN order to earn this bonus, the Shopping Sherlock Affiliate must reach the rank of a Power Affiliate which means that you have sold 4 Sherlock systems and you have at LEAST 12 people in your downline.
These Oevrride commissions are posted just like the Usage Income and involves reporting commissions two months after they are earned.
The third way that you make money with Shopping Sherlock is with the Fast Start Bonus. The fast start bonus gives you $100 each time you personally enroll 2 sherlock systems.
What is a bit off about this bonus is that there is no deadline in which you have to achieve this bonus so I’m confused (and you should be too) as to why they call it a Fast Start Bonus.
This peculiar part of the compensation plan does not require a certain time frame in order to receive this bonus and is paid weekly.
The fourth way that you can earn extra income with Shopping Sherlock is through the Sales Cycle Bonus.
In order to do this, you will give away as many Shopping Sherlock Web Apps that you can, selling the Sherlock systems program and building your team of affiliates.
The Binary compensation plan in the Shopping Sherlock Comp plan Is what the Dual Team Pay is based off of. You are compensated by how you build the two legs of your own Shopping Sherlock company.
Just like BeachBody, your sponsor and anyone else that is on your team and above you can place people in your downline where they want.
Once you have a growing team, you are active and qualified and able to take part in the Dual Team Pay commissions which is based on the entire Sherlock System Sales and subscription fees that is created by anyone who has been placed below you in the binary matric plan.
Each commission cycle is paid weekly and will result in $50 each time you sell two $249 Sherlock Systems on each side of your Sherlock Binary tree.
The fifth way to earn money with Shopping Sherlock is the Subscription Cycle Bonus.
Basically you get $10 every time two shopping Sherlock Monthly subscriptions are paid in each one of your legs.
The Sixth Way to Earn money is to become a Power Affiliate and then a Global Affiliate asap.
If you become a Power Affiliate in 15 days or less, you will earn $200.
If you become a Global Power Affiliate, within the first 6 months or 180 days, you will receive $2000.
The Seventh Way to make extra income with Shopping Sherlock is by earning from the Global Check Match.
The Check Match Commissions allows you to earn 20% match on the dual Team Pay commissions of those that you personally have enrolled into the program all the way through to the first Global Power or Diamond power ranking affiliate.
The eighth way to earn money with Shopping Sherlock is through the Diamond Global Check Match. When you are at the Diamon rank you earh anywhere from 10 to 30 % on the commissions paid to your personally enrolled Shopping Sherlock Affiliates and all of the ones that they enroll all the way down to the next Global Power or Diamond Power Affiliate.
You collect money from EVERY associate between you and the next global/ diamond affiliate.
You earn 30% from all affiliates that have Global Power match and 10% from everyone that is below the Global Power Affiliate rank.
These commissions are weekly pays.
The Equity Program is the final way in which you can make money with Shopping Sherlock. This basically gives you the option to earn a part of your company in the compensation plan.
In order to receive this benefit you must:
- Achieve the Power or the Diamond Global Power Affiliate Rank.
- You can NOT be a part of any other multi level marketing (mlm) in way shape or form. This includes any type of money making activities. You must be exclusive to Shopping Sherlock.
- You have to sell 1 Sherlock System Every day for 90 days.
- You get a share of 2.5% as a Global Power Affiliate
- You get an additional share of 2.5% (total of 5%) for achieving the Diamond Global Rank.
And there you have it. This same information can be found at Shopping Sherlock.
Is Shopping Sherlock a Scam?
Shopping Sherlock is not a scam. You can make money with Shopping Sherlock AFTER you pay the $249 member fee and continue to pay the monthly $34.95 payment.
For that price, it better not be a scam.
IN order to not be a scam, there has to be some type of product.
What do you sell if you join the Shopping Sherlock MLM opportunity?
Well, you sell something called a Sherlock System.
Shopping Sherlock is a “cheap deals search engine” that is basically like a special google that finds you the best deals on all sorts of things from products to travel services.
The actual search engine is free but you have to be given an invite in order to use it. To use it, you have to register and Shopping Sherlock will send you an invite code. (Smart because you will be giving up your email which will make you a viable email lead).
To be honest, I’m not sure why anyone would pay for Shopping Sherlock or want to make money with Shopping Sherlock because although I’m saying it is not a scam…it sure does walk a fine line of almost being one.
You see, you can find the same information that Shopping Sherlock is finding you for about the same time.
You just hop on google and click on each store you find.
Shopping Sherlock looks over aliexpress.com, Amazon, Bizrate.com, Costco, Deatime.com, Ebay, GoogleProducts, Price Pigeon, Rakuten.com and WalMart.
All of these online stores allow you to price shop and often times when you “google” the product you are looking for, the best prices do pop up in ads or can be seen on the search engine.
In regards to Travel deals, there are so many free travel sites out there that the best deal can be found without much effort.
The problem with Shopping Sherlock is that you have to search each tab separately for products anyways so you might as well just open up your own tabs in your internet browser.
Now…all that being said….Shopping Sherlock CAN save you money but I haven’t seen anything so superior that you couldn’t find it on your own with a little bit of extra time. (In my opinion a few moments that are not worth paying $34.95/month)
I suppose it would be awesome if you have money to burn and you buy a crap load of products and trips online.
The Shopping Sherlock Business Opportunity
So…here’s the deal. You are going to have to have some serious direct or network marketing skills in order to succeed in this mlm.
You need to know how to drive traffic and convert it better than your competitors (of which there are plenty).
Do you know how to do that?
Are you new to multi level marketing?
Don’t be Naïve and think that you can just make a website and make a lot of money. There is so much more behind working online that most people don’t think about.
For one, there is a definite skill set required to build a site that brings in traffic and ranks on tops spots in Google.
Secondly, there is a reason MOST people will quit a mlm opportunity before they have had a chance to make money. Most people join thinking that mlm is easy money. They hear the stories of the six figure earners and seem to think it just happened overnight and nothing can be further from the truth. MLM takes time and commitment.
Period.
As a Shopping Sherlock Distributor, you will be asked to share the opportunity (web apps) with everyone you know and then some. The more you share it, the more likely you are to make some sales. After you get your friends/family to “try” Shopping Sherlock, you then have to convince them to join you as a Shopping Sherlock Affilaite. This is where your hard sales or an exceptionally impressive sales funnel (like iPAS2) can come into play.
To make a couple grand a month, you will need approx.. 800 (EIGHT HUNDRED!!!) people in your downline.
I hope you can see how this is not a get rich quick opportunity.
Become a super star of cold calls and grow a firm back bone to take the rejection because it will happen. Not everyone will be into your opportunity and you might actually lose friendships over it. (Trust me on this one…I had a cool neighbor friend who now does not talk to me because of BeachBody. Ugh…long story)
Much like the Empower Network Opportunity, you will be reliant on your upline coaches to help train you, and to be honest, most upline coaches are busy trying to figure out how to help themselves to make money in order to help you. You will have to be persistent in finding ways to improve your Shopping Sherlock business.
But why go through all of that?
Shopping Sherlock has some webinars but no formal training for internet network marketing that you will need in order to really make some cash online.
I’ve read horror stories of people who spend hundreds on trying to succeed and they are just throwing their money away because they simply lack the skills in order to be successful online.
One guy who joined Shopping Sherlock got the following (which said you can become a six figure earner if you master their advice) Shopping Sherlock Training.
- “Become the Messenger and never the Message”
- CALL —Yes…COLD CALL people you know and then go through this fake ass script that I find insulting. If someone were to call me and ask me my “opinion” on an opportunity, I can guarantee my eyes would immediately roll to the back of my head. What would make me livid would be that the person would have wasted my time “catching up” just to try and sell me this “simple business model that makes you money just by sharing”. What a bunch of crap!
- Ask your prospects to watcha THIRTY minute video. Clearly…they have no idea how short the attention span of an average learner is. Who is going to give you 30 minutes of time? And if they do, what in the world are they doing that they can just stop for thirty minutes to watch propaganda on a search engine? I don’t want people that just drop what they are doing to watch a video on my team. I want people who are focused and know how to weed out stuff like this on their quest to become a millionaire.
- Call them BACK after the video is over (in 30 minutes) and then pitch them again but maybe even do it with a 3 way call. (SO Totally Empower Network ish here!)

This is JUST one of the scenarios you could find yourself in when trying to get someone to join your mlm opportunity and to be quite frank, Shopping Sherlock is not worth that time or harassment.
