Top Mlm Companies
As far as the top mlm companies 2016 go, it is amazing how many people are looking to see who the top mlm companies may be.
Being one of the first blogs to attack this inquiry, I was fascinated to see how many other mlm blogs popped up with the same ideas.
Each mlm blog ranked the top mlms of 2016 in varying different ways.
During my first run, I actually ranked based on longevity and sales ranking according to several sites.
This time, the ranking in this update comes from one of the top mlm blogs.
But before we get into all of that, check out what Brad has to say about mlm companies and why HE LEFT his 20K/month earnings from a top mlm in the past:
Now, that you’ve read that, why not hop on our email list:
Or you can check out the Job Killing Testimonials, so that you can actually “see” the results (not that hard to show).

Part 1: Top MLMs
#25. Mary Kay Cosmetics
MaryKay is pretty low on this ranking, in my opinion, because it’s aging and it isn’t a member of the new mlm companies 2016.
However, it has longevity on it’s side and there are still plenty of Mary Kay consultants that are joining this opporutnity.
As a matter of a fact, they have won multiple awards in modern social media. (1)
With over $4 billion in sales, they are sure to make another article in Forbes.(2).
# 24. Usana
Usana has been making some leaps in the mlm news circuit since their net sales exceeded $580 million in 2011.(3).
As a top earner of Usana in 2014, you would have certainly benefited from the billions paid out by this top mlm company.
#23. Avon
When you check out the Google trend and realize the massive girth behind Avon’s success, you definitely take notice. Avon consultants brought in nearly $10 million in 2013(4) and have more than earned their spot as one of the oldest and top mlm companies of 2016.
According to yahoo finance(5), however, they are slipping a bit and this takes them down a bit in regards to making the top ten mlm companies for 2016.
If you sleuth around a little more, you wake up sadly to the reality that Avon plummeted with 17% drop in the beginning of the third quarter of 2015. (6)
Perhaps this is where Mary Kay should be boosted up higher in the mlm rankings? Avon hasn’t reinvented themselves in quite some time but they max out in longevity and were one of the “firsts” when it came to mlm success stories.

# 22. 4Life
This mlm is in the health and wellness niche and has some superior growth in regards to most mlms of the same age.
Well over $250 million in sales is enough to entice mlm advocates to take a serious look at this mlm opporutnity.
#21. LegalShield
One of the first mlms that a top mlm blogger entered in the beginning of the mlm career, this top mlm company of 2016 still holds some merit.
LegalShield helps people have a lawyer at an affordable cost. The company sold in the past five years for over $600 million (7) and is a great legal mlm company to consider if you can handle it.
Not my thing.
#20. Shaklee
Making over 60 years of success, this top mlm company has made the best mlm 2016 list for a top mlm blogger that says they bring in over $7 billion in one year. Wow!
Shaklee sells vitamins and pursues adventures activities to help promote their product.
#19. Forever Living Products
Forever Living (Forever Green) is a unique aloe vera plant mlm that refuses to give up.
Perhaps that is why they made the list.
With being in the mlm industry just over 39 years, FLP has made some news with the likes of Forbes and Inc 500.

#18. ACN
ACN (American Communications Network), not surprisingly, is in the telecommunication niche and has been for over 20 years. They just topped $700 million(8) and then Donald Trump was suspected to be a spokesman. Clearly he denied this…(9).
# 17. Melaleuca
This mlm company shows up nearly everywhere in the wellness arena and has made some serious splashes in the proverbial mlm pool of top earners by offering bonuses nearing $25K because they are loyal to the Melaleuca brand. (10).
They are known to treat their employees at superior levels, which reflects well on any downlines that are involved with selling their products.
#16. World Ventures
It’s no secret that the travel mlm companies are making a splash. World Ventures is taking a lead with fresh faced campaigns that make mlm companies less bleak and little more “fun” like vacations and the vacation industry should be.
Image: instagram.com/brooklynznupe/
It’s taking the lead over “young mlms” and sticking around. (Unlike Vemma or Ava Anderson)
Fun mlms = more of the younger crowd = longer anchors in the future
#15. Organo Gold
Organo Gold offers supplemental in Coffee form. Coffee being one of the top drinks in the world can now be tapped into through the network marketing circuit.
Organo Gold focuses on the healing benefits of the Ganoderma lucidum fungus which is a mushroom from Asia that has been known for medicinal properties for hundreds of years.
With over 400,000 distributors internationally, Organo Gold is a contender for top mlm companies 2016.
#14. Arbonne
Arbonne is like a the more modern Mary Kay.
With the same essential clients as Nu Skin and Nerium, Arbonne uses science to boost sales in the skin care mlm arena.
Further reading: Find out how people make money WITHOUT RECRUITING a downline.
#13. Beachbody
Probably one of the more recognizable network marketing head hanchos, Beach Body coaches are plastering social media, the television and popular workout areas and making the company well over $400 million in sales.(11).
If you haven’t heard of Tony Horton’s P90X or the Insanity workouts, then you’ve been hiding under a bed.
#12. Scentsy
Candles without wicks and filled with delicious smelling scents are IN like Flynn. Flameless candles takes away the possibilities of your non-sensical housemates burning down the house.
It’s a much needed remedy for people who lack common sense or desire more security when placing live fire within their homes.
They do not compete with doTERRA in the products that they serve. However, they do utilize a similar approach as doTERRA in that they rely on word-of-mouth marketing.
#11. Younique
Founded by a brother and sister duo (Melanie Huxford and Derek Maxiand), Younique is a trend setting mlm company.
Thus “unique” implied.
They sell women’s cosmetic products that are hopping on the organic and natural bandwagon that seems to be making headway these days. (This is more likely with new mlm companies of 2016, such as Pure Haven Essentials)
They’re different enough, that Avon and Mary Kay are likely not much concern for the Younique consultants.
#10. Amway
What a huge mlm company. It’s hard not to put these guys as number one on the list because of their massive sales in the tune of over $11.5 billion(12), but they are getting older and their social media presence isn’t much to be excited about.
#9. Pampered Chef
As the economy improves, these high-end kitchen gadgets will continue to thrive in the mlm home sales niche. These products are made to have parties with and often times are the topic of conversation even when you’re not having a home party.
(My mother has a ton of the Pampered Chef products. It’s amazing how many times I’ve heard discussions on Pampered Chef and I’ve never known a distributor in my family.)
Pampered Chef is a company with the approval of a billionaire earner because of their association with Berkshire Hathway(13).

#8. Nu Skin
An older and aged mlm, Nu Skin makes the top mlm companies 2016 with their billion dollar sales each year.
As a skincare network marketing company, they fall into the same likes of Mary Kay and Avon.
NuSkin seems to be aging, which is ironic considering they are an anti-aging promoter.
#7. Young Living
Of course the essential oil leaders couldn’t avoid being place on the top mlm companies 2016 list due to the sheer fact that their search volume is beyond ridiculous.
With essential oils becoming increasingly popular, Young Living has taken a huge leap in the network marketing niche with their exceedingly beautiful lavender fields (see review for photos) and their deep commitment to quality product.
#6. Isagenix
Isagenix and Advocare are most certainly in the top 10 mlm company list for this year.
You can hardly hop on Stumble or other social media pages with mlm related content and not run into one of these big multi level marketing giants.
They were proclaimed one of the hottest MLM’s of 2015 and it looks like they might be topping the charts in 2016 as well.
#5. Nerium
A Big Brothers and Big Sisters supporter, Nerium has a streamlined and clean cut looking anti-aging skin care product.
They are huge advocates of scientific research for their products and are more of an up to date mlm over Nu Skin.
#4. Jeunesse
Making a huge debut online and on TV shows, Jeunesse products are getting a bit of some red carpet treatment as far a mlms go.
The Jeunesse products are raved about for their anti aging properties and their ability to “magically” erase fine lines and wrinkles.
What I find funny is that you’re not allowed to touch your face while the product dries.
You can check out a Jeunesse live demo here.
Already making the mlm industry attention, Jeunesse is one of the fastest growing mlm companies.
Further reading: The leadgen coaching that allowed me to make thousands outside of mlm.
#3. Empower Network
As far as the younger generation goes, Empower Network seems to be pulling them all in with the new integration of the IPAS 2 marketing system.
They have a low overhead as far as products go because they only offer digital products where people can earn 100% (but passed up) commissions.
Ever since Chris Jones popped in with his partnership, Empower Network has been making some waves …again.
(Find out about the Program that convinced me to leave IPAS 2)
#2. doTERRA
With stronghard advocates of this essential oil God, doTERRA wins for volume and sheer passion in selling their popular homeopathic remedies.
With just over 5 years under their belt, doTERRA is killing it in a good way by making over $50 million in sales.
doTERRA is the fresher version of Young Living and arguably could be credited with a spike in the reinterest in Young Living Products.
#1. Advocare
If doTERRA is making waves, Advocare is a tsunami.
With bodybuilders, Major League Baseball players and a plethora of colleges supporting and endorsing them, Advocare is not only topping the list of top mlm companies 2016, they are gaining momentum as we speak.
Taking a similar approach as Beachbody’s 21 day fix, Advocare sells their 24 day challenge to help people lose weight.
The weight loss mlm niche is no joke as Advocare pulled in over a million searches in one month. Wow!
Remember, these are commentaries that I’ve made on the top 25 mlm companies 2016 as listed by one of the top mlm bloggers.
I see where they were made and figure this list was made mainly from the sheer volume you find on Google trends and the rate of growth in comparison to the older mlm companies in town.
If you’re interested in seeing which mlm companies will likely be the top earners in 2016, take a look at the extensive research below.
The approach of ranking again is purely based on sales volume and trends from the past several years.
But let’s get to the real reason you’re here.
Which of the top mlm companies of 2016 should you join?
Watch why top earners in mlms have walked away and then make your decision:
Here is my original post:

Top MLMs in 2016 – The Prediction
Since 2016 hasn’t hit yet, I can only go on what I have seen in the past performance of other and possibly see if there is any information on what might be for the top mlms in 2016.
Without a doubt I believe Avon will be in the top 10. Avon has been making these top lists for years and they have more than established a solid presence in the direct selling world.
What are some other top mlms for 2016?
Let’s see:
1. Avon
2. NuCerity – They’ve been around awhile and I think they will definitely be in the top 10.
3. Melaleuca – Around and ranking in Alexa better than some. I’ve been seeing their name around. If they don’t make the top ten, I say the top 20 for sure.
4. Team Beachbody – There is no doubt beachbody knows what they are doing and they continue to grow and put out new products like their new Beachbody Cize Video Workout.
5. Mary Kay – They really seem to be trending. …which is I think is strange but maybe home makeup and such is making a huge comeback??
6. Herbalife. They just keep coming around even after all of their problems.
7. Jeunesse – They are trending pretty high.
8. Vivaine Skincare – They have a spikey up and down trend. Def. top twenty I think.
9. doTerra or Young Living – I think one of these will be close to the top 10.
10. Amway – They seem to be ranking but nothing has come anywhere near what Avon is at so it’s hard to judge!
I think it really depends on who you look for to see how they rank sites and what not. Do you go by overall net sales? Gross Sales? In 2010 they went by Alexa Rankings which are an ok way to kind of guess who will do well.
Avon, by far, has outdone all of the direct selling companies and I’m sure they must be trying to catch up but Avon started the whole home to home network marketing thing (it seems) and they are so established and well known that it’s hard to beat that.
Mother’s mothers have been using Avon and their Skinsosoft has been used by millions to keep mosquitos at bay. They offer a high quality product and they are a symbol of the American Housewife. People like to support the nostalgia of it. Even me. Whenever I see the Avon Catalog I think of my Aunt and when I was about 10 years old. It makes me want to buy because I felt safe and I loved those times. Funny how that works huh?
So How Do you Find The Best Network Marketing Businesses or Top MLM Companies Reviews (or Direct Sales!! (2016)??
Network marketing is called so many things that it’s even hard for me to title this next part of the article!
Now that you got to see some “research” on the mlms for the 2016 rating, here is an elaborate and elegant (really?) report about Network Marketing and some mlm tips on how to earn extra money through a spiffy superior model of at home money making marketing.
Network Marketing Brief
Anyone you talk to about Network Marketing (who actually know anything about it) will give you different answers. So many people have joined mlms and have different experiences that the answer you get when you question about network marketing may very well vary from day to day and place to place.
You will never really be able to know what network marketing is from one source.
There are just too many different opinions out there.
Some will curse it.
Some will praise it.
You?
You’re going to have to experience it or something if you must form an opinion on it.
Those are just the facty facts.
If you found yourself in the company of someone who joined a company (like ipas2) and worked hard at this network marketing business, learned how to earn extra money, became a pro, stay consistent for year, built and built and worked until they were hugely successful –Then you may hear this:
“The Network Marketing outlook for 2016 and beyond is the most lucrative work at home opportunity you can give yourself! Join me! Join me now and you can make extra income or job salary replacing income now!”
But, if you were to talk to someone who has been in a mlm or other network marketing company (say Jeunesse Global) and they just joined or they didn’t really put forth much effort (or at least the effort it takes to be successful…this kind of work ethic seems to be more rare these days) and they were just looking for a get rich quick type of opportunity–Then you will likely hear this:
“Network Marketing? Mlms? Are you kidding? Do you want to be poor? You’ll just end up helping your sponsors grow deeper pockets! They are pyramid schemes! Are you listening? Mlms and Jeunesse …definitely a pyramid scheme!”
So how do you decide a legitimate work at home opportunity to earn that extra income you are after?
You’re going to have to educate yourself.
What are MLMs? What is Network Marketing?
From Wikipedia.com -“Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they generate, but also for the sales of the other salespeople that they recruit. This recruited sales force is referred to as the participant’s “downline”, and can provide multiple levels of compensation.Other terms used for MLM include pyramid selling, network marketing and referral marketing.[9] According to the US FTC, some MLM companies constitute illegal pyramid schemes which exploit members of the organization”
And if you check out Dictionary.com you get this:
Network Marketing is “a marketing strategy in which sales representatives of a company recruit other salespeople and earn commissions on their own sales and on the sales made by their team:
But just in case you are still confused, here’s a simple scenario to help you “get it”
Once upon a time you had a job.
You got sick and tired of that job.
You had to work hours for what seemed like nothing in pay.
You had to go in when “they” told you so.
You wanted to get rich.
You saw nowhere that could happen in your current job.
Somehow you got some sense knocked into you and you realized that if you want to get rich, you’re going to have to work for yourself and start your own business to become a millionaire.
You, being so savy and wise, also realized that there were so many benefits to working for yourself:
• Choose where and with who you work.
• The Flexibility allows you to choose what times to work!
• Financial Freedom – You get to choose if you want to work to make more money (and it happens) or take a break and still make money. (It also happens)
• Domination – You realize if you really hone in on your talents and pursue your business that you will earn more than just extra income, you will have a full fledged profitable at home business on your hands and show your family what financial freedom looks like.
• Savings – Business expenses can be deducted and you get to save when tax time rolls around.
So…having your own business and mlms (network marketing) is a very attractive and enticing road to take.
The Benefits of Joining a Top MLM in 2016 (or before).
Starting a traditional business comes with huge overhead costs. You take on a lot of financial risks when starting a new business and you are generally going to have to worry about building costs, office space, and more.
One of the huge benefits of joining a mlm (network marketing company) is that you will go into business with a lot of other like minded individuals who can act as your support team. You will go in to a new adventure with others who are doing something very similar and with the same product.
Generally, in the traditional business building, you are geographically isolated with your product and don’t have a huge support system to encourage you to continue on.
In mlms, it is like opening a door of a support team of like minded professionals that can help you stay the course.
When you join a network marketing company, you will generally make a lot of friends online and in person.
In addition, you won’t have to worry about the overhead needed to start up a brick and mortar business and all of the maintenance involved.
Most mlms cost about $20 to over $3,000 to join. There is so much variety in the joining fees that you can easily find a mlm that fits within your beginning budgets and not have to start out “in the red”.
Most mlms will have you sign up with this small investment and complete a distributor agreement. Some are simple, while others are more complex. Some will state you can not join any other opportunities once you reach a certain ranking in their mlm company too. (Beachbody does this)
The mlm documentation clearly will state that you are NOT an employee and therefore, my advice to you, is to make sure you understand this because in order to be successful you may have to act like your life depends on it.
If the mlm company is your only source of income, then your life does depend on your success in network marketing.
You basically become a brand ambassador for the company for free (sort of) and you agree to represent the company to the best of your abilities. In return, you can be offered some handsome compensations.
After that…..
Once you get your mlm business up and running, you’ll start to get a trickle of commissions IF you are ranked and in a position to receive them. (It depends on the many different compensation plans and where you are in them so read carefully before joining so you know what to expect) If you join the Beachbody opportunity, don’t expect anything from any sales right away unless you get two people to join you as a coach.
Once you start to build a good downline and develop your own team, you will slowly start to build more and more income. You will also make money or a certain % off of their sales too.
If you want to have a successful network marketing business, you need to sell items for your personal volume AND teach your downline (see mlm glossary) how to sell and get enrollees to join the opportunity too.
How is Network Marketing compared to buying a franchise?
Network Marketing is almost like a franchise business.
In the ‘real world’, you can buy a franchise of Subway (like a guy I know) or TapSnap.
When you do this, you put in thousands to build a building but you are paying in so that you can benefit from the company name.
The franchise is likely already well known and they run ads nationally that will help your business thrive without a lot of extra money put into it (besides the start up costs).
If you, the head of the mlm business, decide to branch out to other opportunities, you would be buying the name but you pay for the company perks and associations.
You are offered a huge leverage because of the association with a globally recognized name. If you are in network marketing, you get to not only earn what your company makes, but also (once big enough) you usually get to earn what the entire company earns. You get shares and that is HUGE!
Network Marketing allows you to make cash off of those that you “network” with and whom choose to join you.
For example: If you make $300 in commissions from selling your product, and it takes 5 days to get that sale, you can determine what your value in time is worth. In this scenario…not much.
If you get to a point where you are getting sales every 4 days, 2 days or every hour, your hourly rate goes up almost exponentially.
If you “rinse and repeat” what you did to get to a sale, you can potentially make well over thousands of dollars a month, week and some people per day.
As time passes, you slowly recruit others that want to earn extra income from home and they also have the same opportunities to earn money with their efforts. You teach them your ways, they do well and you get a percentage of their sale.
The more that join under you and make money, the more you make.
MLM businesses take time, but once going, you can make a very handsome income.
You steadily increase in income as long as you continue to work on building your organization and recruiting others to join.
It’s a pretty sweet deal because there is just so much money making potential in the network marketing business model that allows you so much leverage.
Too Good to Be True? The Truth of Network Marketing…
Sadly, no matter how hard you can envision the potential and sometimes no matter how hard you work, you may never reach the golden coins at the end of the rainbow from the scenario listed above.
Why?
People quit network marketing.
Point blank.
It’s like starting a business, waiting for the first branch to grow a little, hanging out on it and then cutting it off.
That’s what people do.
They have the opportunity to stay connected and to grow, but they give up.
Meanwhile, the rest of the tree around you continues to grow and you lay dazed wondering what happened.
Network Marketing Millionaires are all around you. They’ve been created. They are real (check out these network marketing millionaire videos)
People are not patient and many lack the skills that help them maintain any type of leverage or gain any ground in the network marketing game.
It’s not because they don’t want success though.
It’s because they lack solid network marketing business skills and sales skills.
They lack the tools needed and they have no guidance.

Network Marketing in a Nutshell:
Let’s just clarify one more time:
• Network Marketing opportunities are real work at home ways to earn extra income in a professional manner.
• Network Marketing, when done skillfully, can lead you to financial freedom.
• Multilevel Marketing (mlm and aka network marketing) requires that you build your online and leadership skills.
• Network Marketing is a lifechanger and you may be surprised at the lifelong friendships and happiness you obtain.
• Network Marketing makes millionaires. This has happened numerous times again and again.
How to Succeed in Direct Sales and Multilevel Marketing
In order to be successful in a mlm or the direct sales industry, you need to understand how they are closely related to one another. Both types of companies (mlm and direct sales) have so much in common that they are practically synonymous of one another.
The majority of direct selling companies out there actually are using multilevel marketing techniques and compensation structures to sell their product. As a matter of a fact, a lot of established companies who were not formally using mlm tactics are now considering it. On the exact other side of thing, multi level marketing companies use direct sales as one of their main ways to acquire new distributors and sell their product.
In this extremely elaborate blog posting about mlms, I’m going to offer you some super tips so you can be successful in your direct sales OR your mlm.
So many people fail mlms because they just don’t know what to do and on top of that, many are not willing to jog that extra mile that it takes to develop new skills required to be successful or they are not willing to go “all in” (I heard this a lot for ipas2 and empower network) and make a true commitment to the opportunity.
You will be Succesful if you Bust some BUTT!
Multilevel marketing AND direct sales lose so many people and have high failure rates. Nearly 75% or more of people that try mlms or direct sales take the unimaginable plummet to Empty Pocketville each year.
Those that fail often times lack the same traits that the millionaire have: Perseverance and Unwavering commitment to success accompanied by a spastic and untouchable work ethic.
If you work hard and you make some money, you can work harder and make more money. That’s just how it is in almost all sales opportunities out there and direct sales and multi level marketing is NO EXCEPTION.
So if you want to be successful in mlm or direct sales, you must TAKE it seriously 100% of the time. You must work at it full stop even more so than you would if you were working for a boss. You will have to work harder than you may have ever worked in your life if you want that huge success.
Working over 40 hours a week is an understatement. Expect to double or triple it. Work. Work. Work. Because that’s what it’s going to take.
There is no way around it.
In the beginning you have to bust some booty.
Learn how to Close a Sale
Aside from telling you to listen to Grant Cardon on Audible, you need to learn how to close a sale and you need to practice the perfect pitch as soon as yesterday!
Many people take too much time to talk about the product and not enough time on closing the sale.
Closing can be learned and is an art form to say the least.
Here are some great closing statements to get you started:
“Which do you prefer: empty or full pocket?”
“I can get you this product by tomorrow – or would you like to take it on Sunday instead?”
“Great! Sign here.”
“I’m giving you a “free item” for buying today. Sign here.”
“I know that your company will excel. I’d hate to go to your competition and see them sell more than you. Can we get this started today for you?”
“Will you buy from me today?”
“Is this a beneficial product for you?”
“How much would you be willing to invest to save your business?”
One of the biggest mistakes that people make in closing a sale is to not ask for the sale at all. Asking for the sale seems so simple but it is often missed. People let fear get in the way and stamper around until awkward pauses take over and the prospect is ready to shut the door in your face. If you simply are brave enough to ask for the sale, you’ll be surprised at the yes’s that you get. Of course, you will get nos, but it is way better to get a lot of NOs than it is to get nothing back at all. Asking opens the opportunity for yes. Don’t be afraid to try it out.
Sales Objections and What you Can Do about it.
So, we already clarified that not everyone will be jumping on your hippy happy bandwagon of pixy dusted dishes. (aka mlm product) So, what do you do when you get that NO?
You practice what you will say ahead of time!
People, unavoidably, will throw all sorts of sales objections at you to stall you, buy time or to not say no because OMG…isn’t that so horrible? What they don’t know, is that you have an arsenal of questions and answers to come back at them for to see what the real issue is to their sales objection.
Don’t let a customer give you a sales objection without a fight to find out the real reason they are saying no, because you know your product will benefit them and it is your DUTY to HELP them get it.
Here are some nifty tips on how to handle those stubborn and annoying sales objections the you will undoubtedly hear when trying to sell your mlm opportunity or mlm product.
Sales Objection: “It Costs WAY too Much money.”
Responses: “Too much money compared to what? Help me understand.”, “Why do you say that?” “Is the price the only reason you are saying no?”, “If price wasn’t an option, would you take it and use it?”, “Everyone says that, but once they buy it they…(fill in benefits)”, “How much is it costing your health to not get this right now?”, “How are things going without it right now? How could this improve your situation? Can you put a price on that?”
Objection: “I’ve already tried this and I just don’t think it will work”
Responses: “I understand and that is why I always offer a 100% guarantee that it will do this, this and this. If it doesn’t do that, then you get your money back.”, “Check out these testimonials from yesterday!”
Objection: “I don’t make fast decisions and need some time to think on it.”
Responses: “I can not guarantee this price will be available tommorrow” (Be prepared for a glare from some people), “No problem. What time is best to call you tomorrow?”, “The product may not be available tomorrow. I have them here for you right now.”, “I’d hate to see you lose this opportunity. I know it can help you like it has helped so many others. Check out “testimonials”.
Yackty Yack You Need to TALK BACK – Talk About your Business
Network Marketing, Direct Sales and mlms are built from the blood of recruiters. You will need to build your downline up by recruiting others to join your mlm business and make your way to network marketing success in no time.
Just approaching people with a cold call, cold facebook message or out of nowhere on the street will immediately turn off any chances you had. You need to use attraction marketing and warm your prospects up.
People love when others are interested in them. Networking takes time. (To the tune of months and sometimes years). Let people brew before you proposition them.
Build Trust.
Don’t be afraid to tell them of how you love the success you’ve found and you would love to share it.
Be Social.
Don’t be afraid to let people know who you are and what you do (and pass out those business cards or mention that super easy to remember website)
Don’t be annoying.
The quickest way to get rid of propects is to bug them about what you are doing. Let others ask how you are doing and just work it into the conversation.
Your friends and loved ones deserve for you to stay savvy and professional. You wouldn’t take a bunch of subs home if you worked at Subway and try to sell them to your whole house in one night to hit your sales quota and you shouldn’t do this with your network marketing opportunity.
Family and Friend should never be guilted into pursuing your mlm opportunity.
That’s just creepy and stupid to do.
MLMs can destroy friendships and relationships if you are dumb enough to let your novice skills do so. (trust me…I know…not because I did it to someone but because someone did to me and now they are embarrassed to talk to me…and I don’t need to find an excuse to say no to their pressure so they just stay away. It’s so dumb…all because of a mlm and their lack of tact in selling it and keeping business as strictly business)
You should not worry about talking about your opportunity, but don’t be a walking sales pitch about it.
Let people ask you questions and you answer.
If you are constantly popping in keywords and taking advantage of silences by mentioning your network marketing opportunity, you will just be really annoying and people will shut down.
Rather then being a creepy mlm sales men, be a testimonial of the product. Eat, live and breathe the product and SHOW that it WORKS.
People will naturally start to ask questions when they see the successes that you present to them.
Fish Food and Goldfish
If you were a goldfish and a big juicy banana was floating at the top of your tank, would you eat it? Or what if someone threatened you with a banana, would you budge?
Of course not.
However, if you put special goldfish treats next to the banana or you showed up with a plastic banana that blew out banana chips, people and goldfish would be more likely to pay attention and make a move to find out more about the banana you present to them.
The same goes for mlm.
Offer something they love, and they will ask for more.
If you were to offer free lottery tickets or free food (use to work like a charm), people would come for the freebie and out of curiousity of what would cause you to give away free stuff. They might also start to wonder how you could afford such an event.
When you take care of people in some way, they are more inclined to believe what comes out of your mouth.
In this way, you deliver value to your mlm leads and prospects prior to them joining you and they are more motivated to take advantage of the opportunity that you are presenting.
Collect Names and Get Ready to Rumble Ramble
Finding a way to accumulate interested parties is going to be an essential part of your network marketing adventure. Leads will fuel your network marketing business and it is your duty to find and get these leads to continue to build to find your mlm success.
A website works 24/7 for you. You can essentially “speak” to people around the globe and around the clock and collect leads from the globe.
Using a responsive website is key. Make sure to have a plug in or space for visitors to subscribe to your newsfeed or newsletter. Offer them great freebies of info nuggets that will help them with whatever they need business wise.
Then, take those leads and offer discounts, products or more knowledge on how they can use your product.
Getting no email addresses because you have no form on your website is the same as ripping a dollar bill in half and losing the pieces.
Email leads can offer you more income than just walks in the door.
Get a website with an opt in for newsletters asap to start gathering relevant leads for future sales, discounts and emails.
Don’t sell it if you Don’t LOVE IT.
There is nothing worse then lack of authenticity.
I’m one of those people who HATES liars and I especially HATE unauthentic peeps.
If you choose a multilevel marketing company for the compensation plan and not the product, you will end up lying to people just to try and make a sale.
Loving a product is emitted through the way you speak just as much as what you say about the product and people can easily read through bullshit.
Don’t be a poop mouth. Be real.
ONLY sell products you love and adore so that you gain trust and ultimately more customers.
If you have a chance to try the products, do so. It’s dumb to try and sell something you’ve never used or tried for yourself. Period.
If you are more passionate about the product you are selling, you will see more wealth on all levels than those who are not.
Only work for companies that have the same mindset as you and is not embedded deep up the Feds bum bum with legal battles for unauthentic and unethical ways of dealing business.
Do your homework before you join.
Is Network Marketing the way to go?
Direct selling offers you the super neat opportunity to meet people from around the world. (Now I have that song” around the world, around the wooorlld” stuck in my head”)
You will meet people with all different backgrounds and incomes. From chiropractors to beach bums, you name it, you will likely meet it in a mlm company.
Multilevel marketing is a career that isn’t talked about and not admired until it’s given people the income they desire.
Anybody can succeed in direct sales if:
- They invest time.
- They invest money (like a real business would)
- They work hard daily.
- They realize it’s a full time job and might work harder than ever before
- They can sell
- They are social and can build connections with others
If you think you qualify for this, then your mlm adventure could very well make you the next network marketing millionaire.
Why not train yourself for that gold metal?

I love reading through an article that can make people think.
Also, thanks for permitting me to comment!
Nice article! I have to make a decision on what companies I should let go…..( 2 health companies and one Coffee)
Your article made it very clear to what company I should stick with…..
Glad I could help! Thanks for reading my mlm review site!
Does your http://www.marikinavalley.com earn any money
for you?
HI Andy, It makes a little bit but I don’t rely on it for my main income. I have multiple streams of income coming in marikinavalley.com is just one of them. Thanks for asking!
Hi Charissa, I thought you may find room for one more stream, so, here is a new one that shares profit from real-time advertising bidding, the ad business call it RTB. One could say the “product” is a savings account where one earns interest from the buying and selling of on-line advertising. The company is too new to be on top mlm lists but it is free to look around, and 20 gets anyone started. The daily interest so far is around 1.5% which compounds so 20 does reach 700+ in 12 months. So, no soap, no vitamins, or no creams, it is just profit sharing making interest from google-types advertising. my link: ww w.beonpush.com/s/beonholiday
Here is a news article on RTB and the future: w ww.businessinsider.com/rtb-or-real-time-bidding-is-the-future-2013-8
Contact me if you get stuck. Cheers, TC
Hi TC! Thanks for the info! I’ll poke around on the site and see if fits in with my next few mlm review articles! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Charissa – This was super helpful. I’m new to the MLM opportunity. I’m stuck on how to assess whether I’m still early to the game on a particular MLM company or not. How do I assess something like that? Can you please help? I’m desperate to take on additional income and am definitely willing to work hard for it. Thank you so much.
Hi Hayato, Great question! This is something that a lot of people don’t even think about when considering a mlm opportunity. Many mlm companies have been around for years while others are brand spankin’ new. Is there such a thing as a saturated market? I have to say Yes and No. You can enter a completely unsaturated market for a mlm company and make absolutely nothing if there isn’t a need for the product or you lack in salesmanship. Selling products online, whether in mlm or not is a skill that doesn’t rely on whether or not a company is “new” and you’re early in on the opportunity or “old” and you’re coming to the party late.
My absolute best response to you in regards to the Jeunesse Global Opportunity and for any mlm or online opportunity is to make sure you have the right mentors and coaching along with a strong desire/like/respect for the product. There are people that are joining older mlms and crushing it because they enter with mad online marketing skills. (Trust me, You’re going to need them).
If you are willing to work hard like you say, then you seriously need to consider the Job Killing Coaching. It’s an investment you will not regret and the lessons on how to survive in a world such as mlm are absolutely gold.
Make sure you check out the Job Killing Testimonials and schedule a call if you truly are serious about making money online. Jeunesse may be the right opportunity for you, but you’ll be a lot better going in with some powerful tools and marketing knowledge in your hands that this program offers.
If you know this is something you want, then please schedule a call here: https://www.timetrade.com/book/X88Y2 and let’s get you started! I can’t wait to watch you succeed!
Thank you for the article it was very insightful, especially since I have an opportunity to be on the ground floor of a new Reneve sharing company preparing to launch March 29th. Since there is not past research, as you suggested, how do build your advocate base.
The new company is Jazzro.com and is a social marketing company to enhance customer growth and retention.
I feel like this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get in at the ground floor and want to make sure I am positioning myself with knowledge and skills to capitalize.
Thank you
Tracy Monks
Hi Tracy, Thanks for the comment. As far as preparing yourself, I suggest you get yourself some online skills in ranking sites like this. You’ll want to target people who are looking for revenue sharing models. (LOTS OF COMPETITION OUT THERE FOR THIS). You’ll want to understand keyword research as well. One of the great things about the Job Killing Program is that it shows you how to position yourself online to do just that. Job Killing is focused at the local level because it is a thousand times more easy than the international competition out there. If you are looking for SKILLs, I highly suggest Job Killing to you. Like I’ve stated many times in my posts, the model is meant for Local competition but the program is so good, that I have actually used my skills to rank this site (It’s how you found me right?). YOu need to be found. In addition, you’ll want to brush up on your video skills and social media skills. Job Killing has actually had people like you who were joining a mlm, rev share or network marketing company and then later they ditched them because of the ridiculous amount of opportunities that you find once you have the skills they teach you. If you do decide on the coaching program, I would appreciate it if you let them know I sent you. I get a small “finder’s fee” when I help people make great decisions like joining the program. As for jazzro.com, I’ll be sure to check it out!
Hi Tracy, After checking out Jazzro, I’m wondering why in the world you are asking about how to build your base. It seems like Jazzro is suppose to help you do that with all the information they have on the site. In particular, the site mentions how to help small businesses get more clients. Shouldn’t you be able to utilize the product you are advocating to find more advocates?
It is a bit concerning if you’re an advocate and they don’t have instructions on how to get more advocates. Don’t you agree?
