When you begin to research Nu Skin Enterprises, you start to run into to a cluster or keywords that all don’t sound much like NuSkin or Newskin in any way.
For instance, when I started this nuskin review, I found words like ageloc vitality, something called galvanic (what the heck is that?), Pharmanex and about a million other weird words. I easily found the Nuskin Compensation Plan but other information was jumbled and scarce.
I knew when I started that I was going to have to do some digging to figure out if I’d have to do a separate Pharmanex review or find out if Pharmanex was a product.
By looking at some the existing Nuskin Reviews, I saw that there is a huge concern about whether or not Nuskin USA and the International Enterprise is a scam due to FDA inquiries in the past.
So, if you are deciding whether or not Nuskin is on of the right multi level marketing companies for you to join, I invite you to check out the newest Nu Skin Enterprises Compensation Plan (from 2015) to decide if you think it’s worthy of trying to make money with.
Before we go deep, check out this video by my friend Brad who was in a couple mlms like NuSkin and decided to leave them far behind:
If you agree with Brad and want to check out a bonus video, go ahead and hook me up with your email and I’ll share more golden nuggets with you.
If you know you are going to join a mlm company in the very near future or you are seriously looking for a way to quite your 9 to 5 by working online, then go ahead and schedule a call. We reserve time in 45 time slots between a couple people that know about our Job Killing program.
As we grow, the time slots get more sparse so schedule a call today if you are definitely serious about taking advantage of this top opportunity.
BACK to the NuSkin Review:
MLM Reviews: The History of NuSkin Enterprises Inc. and Galvanic Exposed!
I know it sounds a bit dramatic to say “exposed”, but don’t you want to know what something called Galvanic is before you know the history of the NuSkin mlm company?
I certainly do.
So let’s get to it!
The word “galvanic” is actually a word! Ha! Learn something new everyday huh?
It means(according to a few different dictionary sources): Intensely exciting or sudden and dramatic.
I don’t know about you, but I certainly would like a galvanic deposit of money in my bank account if I were to join Nu Skin wouldn’t you?
Ok…so now the Galvanic is defined, I’ll tell you more about it and the spa system after I tell you more about the company called NuSkin Enterprises llc.
NuSkin Enterprises is a HUGE mlm company that spans all across the globe.
If you only rely on the NuSkin.com company history page you find out the following:
Nuskin appears to have been started by three persons: Blake Roney, Sandie Tillotson and Steve Lund.
It was a company that was meant to be all good and no bad giving (of course) the best compensation and money back to the Nu Skin Sales People.
That’s about it. The rest of the company history page is a bit of an ad for the NuSkin Business Opportunity.
There was a bit about how people were literally begging for the NuSkin creams and spooning with their own spoons but that seems a bit dramatic to me and I’m not so sure I believe it as deeply as it seems to be implying. (Just imagine a line of people filled with bowls begging to spoon NuSkin’s anti aging creams…..uhm….I don’t really think so..)

What do other People Say about the History of NUSKIN?
Let’s go to a good source (Wikipedia) for the juicy insight on NuSkin Interprises.
According to these sources, NuSkin Enterprises initiated their company selling personal care products and diet supplements (Pharmanex). (That explains why I was seeing pharmanex all over the place during my research)
They started in 1984 (age is a good thing right?) in Provo, Utah.
Utah makes me laugh because of the show called “Escaping Polygamy”. I just find it ironic that there is a show called “Sister Wives” where they are showing how “awesome” polygamy is and then there is another where young girls are desperate to escape it.
Anyways..back to the NuSkin Review…It wasn’t until 1990 that NuSkin expanded out to Canada and from there it seems that NuSkin Enterprises Exploded. They branched out across the pond to Asia and in 1996 got listed on the NYSE.
Today they have over 1.2 million independent distributors. (Let’s stop for a moment and consider the ramifications of joining a company with over 1.2 million NuSkin Distributors….Can you say….Competition? Saturation? You might as well skip down to the bottom of this review and see what I have to offer if you are going to join the NuSkin Business Opportunity because you are definitely going to need it…..)
NuSkin in DANGER
According to Wikipedia, the Federal Trade Commission investigated the multi level marketing company in the 90’s over many complaints. It turns out that NuSkin settled in five states for deceptive advertising and overdramatizing the income of the NuSkin Sales Reps as an attempt to get more people to join the NuSkin mlm.
There was another payout of over A MILLION for deceptive practices again in 1994, and yet again in 1997 for over 1997.
You think that would be enough, but in 2014 (yes…very recent by comparison) the Chinese government announced an investigation into the NuSkin illegal pyramid scheme which was denied by the CEO M.. Truman Hunt.
With all the mess that NuSkin seems to be in, I would seriously hesitate any consideration to join Nuskin Enterprises/ NuSkin Pharmanex.
The NuSkin or Pharmanex Products
NuSkin and Pharmanex are the major brands that NuSkin is selling. Through these two brand names, they sell over 200 personal care products that are focused on youth and vitality. In addition to Pharmanex, NuSkin is also associated with a company called Big Planet (they sell internet services via multi level marketing) and Life Gen Technologies.
LifeGen is a database of genetic information. Very forward thinking in regards to most mlms but their reputation precedes them so I would still hesitate joining them.
Some of the more Popular NuSkin products are:
Before I give you that list…check out these celebrities that apparently support NuSkin Galvanic….Pretty Impressive….
- ageLoc Vitality Products
- Biophotonic Scanner
- Epoch Essential Oils (Can you blame them with the success that Doterra and Young Living are experiencing?)
- Pharmanex Nutritional Supplements and Weight Loss Items
- Galvanic? I wasn’t able to easily find Galvanic on the NuSkin site so I’m assuming it has something to do with the $495 Spa System that uses electrical conductivity for your face. Interesting to say the least.
The NuSkin Compensation Plan 2015
When you decide to join the NuSkin Business Opportunity, you are able to buy NuSkin and Pharmanex products at wholesale prices (not unusual for most mlms).
The very first step of the NuSkin comp Plan emphasized signing up new customers and enrolling them in the Auto Ship program to get additional discounts and/or to get them to join under you in the NuSkin mlm opportunity.
The way that they sugget you start to sell NuSkin Products is by “sharing your story” (Sound familiar to my other mlm reviews? It should)
Just like my friend who has her Jeunesse Opportunity plastered all over her face book, or my other gal pal who is pushing the Mary Kay Consultant Opportunity, NuSkin wants you to tell as many people as possible about the NuSkin Biz op that you can.
You can Not get paid by NuSkin until you mett all the “active requirements”. Let’s find out what those are:
To be an Active NuSkin Representative you have to:
- Have $250 in Personal Group Sales Volume
- FIVE customer Sales per month.
Your DO not have to purchase product to be considered active if you qualify for the $250 with your group sales. (this requires to have a downline so it’s not going to happen right away…unless you’re a traffic generating genius and you’ve already gone through the Job Killing Program)
The next step in making money with NuSkin is …….yup…you guessed it…finding more customers.
The first big lead is to qualify as an Executive Leader which opens to the door to more compensation incentives and bonuses.
To qualify as an Executive:
Month 1 – $250 in Personal Sales and Group sales from your Level 1 and $1000 in Group Sales Volume
Month 2 -$250 in the Personal Sales and Group Sales (l1) and $1500 in Group Sales Volume
Month 3 – $250 (same as above) and $2000 in group sales volume
Then there are some qualification requirements of what counts towards your Group Sales Volume and a chart is provided. It’s confusing if you’re not familiar with how mlm company compensation programs work.
On top of the Executive Leader Rank, you can earn the bonuses as well.
You can earn anywhere from 9 to 15% of the Group Sales volume depending on the volume you bring in. Generally as the Group Sales Volume increases, the % you earn off that amount increases as well.
I could go on and on about the NuSkin Compensation plan and bore you to death about how to get the progression Bonus pool and what the wealth maximizer is, but it starts to become adamantly clear that the NuSkin compensation plan is anything but easy to understand and the main focus is on recruiting individuals.
It’s no wonder they’ve been investigated.
It seems that this is by far one of the more confusing and almost intentionally clutter compensation plans in multi level marketing that I have seen in all of the mlm reviews I have done so far.
What’s scary is that it’s only three pages long but I just lose interest.
You have to accumulate shares and all sorts of crazy crap that I don’t feel like reading about.
My brain cells are pretty quick, but doublers and maximizers boggle it and I just need to move on from this crazy comp plan.
Should I join NuSkin Enterprises to make money?
I’m going to go out on a very solid limb on this one and say NO.
Please don’t.
There is too much confustion and way WAAAAAy too much controversy with this company. There are so many other mlm companies out there with more solid reputations and compensation plans that are clear cut and easy to understand that there really is no reason to join the NuSkin business opportunity.
Throw in the massive amount of already established NuSkin representatives and distributors and I would have to questions your sanity if you do join NuSkin.
Even if they clean up their act, I would be hesitant until they change their (already changed several times) compensation plan.
Why bother with mlms and their messy and confusing sales reimbursements and comp plans?
Wouldn’t you like to earn money for yourself while working online at home and not have to worry whether or not the FDA was going to shut down your company like they did VEMMA? Or worry if they will go out of business like Kitsy Lane?
Earning a solid income online is possible but you’re going to need some millionaire mentors if you want to be successful.
Lucky you, I know some.
Job Killing is what I’m talking about.
As a matter of a fact, here’s yours truly in a silly interview a few months after I joined….
Schedule a call today and let’s get you making the good money too.
I have made thousands by investing in this program and I didn’t have a scrap of internet marketing experience before joining.
Please only schedule a call if you are serious about the opportunity though because time is money and we prefer you don’t waste it.
I hope to see you on the inside!
