Powur Compensation Plan Overview
After finding out about the Powur mlm company I, of course, had to take a sneak peak at their compensation plan and do a Powur Review. This is the Powur compensation plan review you’ve been looking for!
Let me tell you it was not an easy task but I’m glad I was able to do it.
This is the first energy related mlm I have stopped to do a review on. I know there is something called Ambit Energy out there, but I’m almost positive it is nothing like this Powur Company.
Let’s get a few things straight before I start this Powur Compensation Plan Review. I LIKE solar energy. I like a lot about it and I love generating leads for people.
My ideal company out there would be one that focuses on generating leads and does all the selling for you. Personally, I can do sales but I cringe at the thought of it. I absolutely have to love the product I’m trying to sell though in order to talk about it, so this is where I get a little excited about the Powur mlm opportunity.
It’s pretty genius if you ask me.
First of all, if I were to sum up the Powur opportunity, I would say this:
Powur is a mlm energy company that builds members who give qualified leads to one of the nation’s largest solar installation companies, Solar City. In return for the Powur Distributors efforts, they are compensated for the legitimate leads in ADDITION to being able to make money for building a qualified team to do the same. Powur distributors, aka Powur advocates, are given the opportunity to join as an advocate absolutely free. They have the ability to earn more and more money as they grow a team of like minded individuals and take over the world with solar power.
That would be my short overiview of the Powur business opportunity.
I have to tell you that this is a pretty impressive mlm, however I do have a few concerns.
#1 – Solar energy. Is it really going to work in the places that don’t get that much sun?
#2 – Youth. This company is legitimately BRAND Spankin’ new. Really…they don’t even have a Powur compensation plan plastered all over the place like everyone else and the one I was able to see had multiple errors on it so it is literally coming to you straight out of the box in this review.
Things I love?
It’s green. I LOVE love love that you can join for free and promote a cleaner energy.
On top of that, you can get solar panels on your home for absolutely NO money down. I took a quick look at how this works and basically what you do is you go through a credit approval process with Solar City. They approve you as a legitimate proposal and then you go through a process of getting approved for the solar installation. Once installed, Solar City will make money off of the energy that the solar panels create and you only have to pay what you use which is claimed to often times be less than what you pay now.
Here’s the only problem I see is that you do not own the solar panel. It will be owned by Solar city, however they pay for all of the repairs and costs. If you move, the purchase agreement is just passed on to the new owner.
They own the solar panel for 20 years from the install so it’s a huge commitment to the homeowner and even though Powur say it will increase your home value and your home will sell better with the solar panel, I can see where it might be a point of contention when trying to sell your home.
Make sure you do your research before placing the panels on your home through the solar powur program.
As long as the Solar City product is a good one, then you definitely have a Powurful mlm on your hands.
You know what else I love about this new mlm?
They call themselves Power-preneurs. I think that is pretty catchy.
Ok..so let’s get on to the Powur compensation plan.
Make Money with Powur – The Powur Compensation Plan
Powur desires people who will join Powur FuLL time and focus on shifting the energy usage in the world.
They press the desire to take over the word with solar energy and believe it is the way to taking back control over energy usage rather than supporting the larger (nearly monopolized) energy companies in the world.
Powur claims to offer eighteen roles and positions in their company according to their compensation plan video.
Eighteen roles and positions: (I was not able to find all of them by watching this video but I did write down the information I could gather)
Here are some of the roles you will encounter and their qualifications as a Powur Associate:
- Advocate – Free user in Powur business opportunity
- Partner – Enrolled and completed the certification for $299
- Mentor – The person who enrolled you into the Grid (downline) of Powur
- Team Leader – The person who your “code” is linked to.
- Qualified Partner – A person who submits THREE proposals
Proposals are leads that are qualified by Solar city (they have gotten on the phone, they are not lying about anything and are seriously considering putting solar panels on their home). They go through a consultation with Solar City. Once this happens, they are qualified by Solar City.
- Contract – When a homeowner signs a solar agreement.
- Install – Completed Solar installation and are generating the clean solar power.
Powur Comp Plan – Rewards plan
How to get paid by being a Powur Advocate
- Direct Rewards (Paid monthly)
Every proposal you submit that turns into a contract, you make $250.
If you get three in a month, you get an extra $50 per contract, which will work out to $300 per contract.
The cool thing about this is that you don’t have to be qualified to do this and you make money directly from your referrals that go through.
This is the only reward that an advocate can earn and they cannot earn off of others unless they pay the $299 to be a partner.
- Impact Rewards –paid weekly
When you sign up as an advocate and then join as a partner, you get $75 when you submit 3 proposals. This is also called “getting qualified”. Getting qualified allows you to earn from your downline and is very similar to how Beach Body compensation plan requires that you havae two coaches in your downline to earn from the mlm set up.
- Mentor Rewards – Paid Weekly
This is given when your Powur advocates submit their first three proposals. As long as you are qualified, you then get $75 for mentoring your downline on how to talk to the homeowners to get them to pursue getting solar panels on their home. It’s a match reward. When you get the money, you get the money.
- The Keep & Pass up Rule – Powur Leader and Leader match rewards paid weekly
This rule really reminds me of the iPAS2 / Empower Network opportunity. Basically you become the Team leader of everyone you enroll who is an odd number. For example, person 1,3,5, and so on. You would get the benefit of their sales.
You Mentor all of them but you are only the team leader of the odd ones.
For Your Team leader will get the 2,4,6, and so on people linked to them.
The Powur admin team is really pumped up about this particular part of the Powur compensation plan. Their intention is to motivate you to do more and more.
This is part of the Leader and Leader match rewards concept. Here’s how it works:
Leader Match Bonus
You have a keep line – You are the mentor and team leader of the first person in every keep line you have.
You have a pass line – These are people who you mentor but who use your team leader as your team leader.
Without a visual this particular rewards seems really crappy but check out this visual:
As you build, the people in your grid have to get to a point where they pay $299 and get three proposals. Etc. etc..
Every level, no matter how deep, area linked backed to you.
Every time a partner get qualified (they get 3 proposals with consultations, you earn $100 if they are linked to you.
The visual makes sense in the first and second levels but when you get to the third level it starts to get confusing. From the photo, it looks like on the third level you then get linked to every 4th and 8th person and so on…so I would suppose it goes every 6th an 12th person in the next level.
You have to work it out to understand it completely but basically you can grow as wide and deep as you want to benefit from this weekly pay in the Powur compensation plan. The 1st person you are linked to gets two people, you are linked to their number 2…then that number two has two people, you are linked to their #2 and it just keeps going.
It’s pretty intriguing.
6. Leader Match Rewards – You earn 50% on every Leader reward. This is a way for you to earn on the Pass up line so you can make rewards off of them! You earn 50% match on his leader rewards forever. This is a pretty huge mlm compensation reward.
(Note: it takes 60-90 days for proposals to turn into contracts and installs. Solar City is superior at this)
The Backend of the Powur Compensation Plan
Leveling up. How do you get up in a higher rank in Powur?
Powur wants you to be able to move up fast, so you can move up based on your personal and monthly grid achievments.
The grid works on monthly and the personal level makes you
Powur Compensation Plan Ranks
- Partner – 0 lifetime required, 0 monthly required
- Qualified Partner – 3 Lifetime Proposals
- L1 Partner – 5 Lifetime proposals for you and 9 total for your team
- L2 Partner – 7 lifetime proposals from you and 25 total from your team
- L3 Partner – 10 proposals a month and 75 from your team in the month
The Gamechanger level can only be made with CONTRACTS.
- Game Changer – 5 monthly contracts, 75 Team
- L1 Game Changer – 7 contracts, 200 Team
- L2 Game Changer – 10 contracts, 500 Team
- L3 Gam Changer – 12 contracts, 1,000 Team
- Hero – 15 Monthly contracts, 2,000 Team
Monthly rewards:
Team Generation Rewards
Qualified Partner | L1 partner | L2 Partner | L3 Partner | Gamechanger and up
Generation 1 | $40 | $40 | $40 | $40 | $40 |
Generation 2 | $20 | $20 | $20 | $20
Generation 3 | $20 | $20 | $20
Generation 4 | $20 | $20 | |||
Generation 5 | $10 | $10 | |||
Generation 6 | $10 |
The Generation Bonuses are Paid monthly. You can earn up to 6 generations deep with this reward.
As I’m checking out the Powur mlm compensation plan, the emphasis is on sales of the solar panels. This is basically a sales job with a twist.
Once someone becomes a L1 partner, you have a new generation and you earn on everyone to the next L1 generation.
The Differential Reward
As you move your way up in the Powur compensation plan, you have the ability to earn and additional $100 on every single install that is referred through your “grid” aka downline. You earn the difference in the following way…
Here’s how it works:
Powur L1 parnters = 20% of the $100 on all installs in the grid
Powur L2 Partners = 30% of the available $100 on all installs from you or any other install in your group
Powur L3 Partners = 40% of the available $100 on all installs from your or any other install in your group
Powur Gamechanger Rank = 60% on the available $100 all install from your Powur company
Powur l1 Gamchanger = 70% of the what is available from the $100 on all installs from your powur company
Powur L2 Gamechanger = 80% of what is available from the $100 on all installs from your Powur company
Powur L3 Gamechange = 90% of the differential on the $100 on all installs from you or your Powur downline
Powur Hero = 100% differential on the $100 on all installs
You earn the difference between your level and the next partner in your grid.
If you are a hero and no one is a l1 partner in your group. This means you are qualified for the whol $100. If there is one L2 partner that is qualified for 30%. They make $30 and you make $70 because there is someone between you and the sale who has an L2 rank.
This is kind of confusing but it is a nice reward.
Game Changer Rewards:
As you get to the second half of the paln which is the GameChanger level you get rewards as you move up in ranks.
Once you do this, you get a one time reward. These are by far some of the highest rewards I’ve seen for levels like this:
The rewards are paid over a year.
Gamechanger = $10,000
L1 Gamechanger = $25,000 (really it’s an additional $15,000 so it’s not really an additional $25,000 like the visual looks)
L2 Gamechanger = Tesla Reward ($933/month for a car…you don’t get the car.) What happens if the company shuts down or you are no longer at the L2 level because people dropped out? Are you dstill left with a Tesla payment. The answer is yes. They cover the Tesla payment.
L3 Gamechanger = $100,000 reward – This is actually just an additional $75,000 on what you were already rewarded.
Hero = $500,000 reward (an additional $400,000 from the last reward)
So there you go! It’s the Powur Compensation plan explained. If you want more info. go here: www.powur.com You can also check back on mlm reviews in the future where I will give more information on the Powur opportunity after their October 2015 launch date.
So what would be a good reason to join Powur?
Joining Powur is not a bad idea IF you know how to generate leads already.
You can make a great amount of money if you become an advocate by sending qualified leads to Solar City through the Powur mlm oppotunity.
Your next step would be to purchase the $299 partnership program and start to build your own team.
The problem?
You need to know how to get traffic for people who want Solar City products AND how to drive traffic for people looking into work at home businesses or how to make money using the internet.
Then, you have to educate them.
You are basically getting yourself into a sales job that pays a company (Powur) a portion of the reward you get for your efforts.
Are your efforts up to our millionaire type thinking? Check out these millionaire mentor videos to find out.
What you may have not considered is that you can make a lot of money by approaching Solar City on your own (or other solar panel installer) and offering them leads at a premium for you and only you. No mlm or sharing needed.
Wanna know how to be a lead generating rockstar so you can choose what to do next?

I love that there is a mlm that involves money for the leads upfront and the opportunity to make money of of the mlm part too! Thank you for the thorough Power Comp Plan explanation. It was a hard one to find enough info on.
Thanks for the comment!
As of February 2016 it is now 399 to join and they Launch in July of 2016. I have been approached to join a team…do you think this is a legit opportunity?
Thanks! If you’re into mlms, I think Powur is definitely one to consider. The fact that you can get compensation from selling the product without having a downline is a definite bonus. I think anyone that is in the Job Killing Program would do really well in a mlm like this. But the reason you likely won’t find any “Killers” in it is because they can make deals with the solar companies to bring in leads for a much higher cost than what you get by promoting through Powur. If you’re not into negotiating and you know how to generate leads like a boss….the by all means consider it. Then, work on your recruiting skills to get others to join.
But before you do that, consider this:
Do you know people who are ridiculously good at recruiting others into a business opportunity?
Now, anyone you recruit has to pay $399 (which I’m sure some will be given to an upline…I’ll make sure to update this once I find out). Although $399 is a drop in the bucket for business start up costs, you better be sure you know how to generate leads and show others how to do so too.
Great Insight! Thank you!
