Of all the health mlm companies that I have come across, I have to say that the Purium mlm is so far one of the most interesting.
Why?
Oh boy, where do I start with Purium?
They are so similar in a lot of ways to the other health mlms yet in all the mlm reviews, these guys are probably the ones with the most interesting compensation plan, coupled with some really scary Purium reviews.
I haven’t really read any as scary as I’ve found on Amazon for Purium like I did today, but that doesn’t mean they are not out there.
Remember too that a good negative review can really stop the masses in their tracks when reviewing a network marketing company.
It takes a long time to bury a bad review and it looks like it might even take longer on Amazon because you can “like” your favorite negative and positive reviews.
I certainly am scared, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make money with Purium and their nifty and different gift card marketing system.
Did I say Gift Cards?
You betcha.
Actually if it weren’t for the hefty price tag of the actual product I want to try, I might actually bite the bullet on this one and try out Purium Products but I just can’t bring myself to drop $200 even with a $50 coupon.
OH man..let me tell you about Purium!
It’s amazing what people come up with these days and Purium is no exception.
I’m not making any judgments whatsoever on the Purium diet or the Purium 10 day transformation cleanse because I have not personally done it. Although, I will probably drop you a couple of lines as to why I think the Purium Cleanse likely causes a body drought (more on that later).
I can tell you that I have spent several hours investigating Purium and the way they run their compensation plan and bonuses for my mlm reviews site so I can be as accurate as possible.
I’ll share the information that I ‘ve gathered, including the Purium Reviews (from customers and Purium Distributors) and YOU can make the decision as to whether selling Purium Products and giving away Purium gift cards is the right thing for you.
What is Purium?
Purium is a network marketing company, founded by David Sandoval and Amy Venner, that specializes in a variety of health care products. Their main seller is something called the Purium Cleanse or the Purium 10 day transformation cleanse.
It’s called the 10 day transformation because they state that in 10 days, using the Purium Cleanse, you will drop 5 to 20 lbs.
That is impressive to say the least.
The Purium 10 day Transformation Cleanse is not the only Purium product though.
Purium also offers many products in several different product lines that they have which include:
- Anti -Aging Purium
- Detox Purium pills and powders
- Purium Immune Support
- Purium Family Nutrition (which includes products from the other lines)
- Purium for Sports and Fitness (One of the Purium distributors that I reached out to was a body builder)
On one of the sites I found this interesting statement: “The fastest, healthiest, simplest, least expensive weight loss program on the planet….the weight loss is just a healthy side effect!” (Reference: http://www.puriumcorp.com/www/product/11157-AB)
That quote came from their most expensive product the Purium 10 Day Transformation Cleanse.
It kind of scares me because, I’m not a spring chicken.
You see..when something promises everything I’ve ever wanted….then it has to be too good to be true right?
With Purium, I can say that the “least expensive weight loss program” statement is already proving to be a lie.
Why?
Because the least expensive weight loss program on Earth is to just stop eating bad foods, exercise and take care of yourself. That’s the plan and it’s all reliant on you and YOU are free. (not to mention that there are all sorts of weight loss programs free online)
The 10day transformation detox thing? It’s over $200 for TEN DAYS. That is expensive. Period.
So the Purium Cleanse is not so much for me but if it’s your thing, I’m cool with it. (until I see your butt in the emergency room due to low electrolytes if what all the amazon reviews say are true….OR…until you are filthy rich and I’m kicking myself in the butt for not joining Purium yesterday.)
So this 10 day transformation?
It claims to use nutrient dense superfoods (dehydrated into powders and pills) which have carbs and proteins and is all certified. (I like the organically certified part)
It’s suppose to help your body reset and deter food addictions in addition to burning fat and building muscle.
I didn’t run across any studies and I’m sure this program burns fat because from all the reviews I have read, you are basically on a calorie deficient for the 10 days (some people called it starving) and you will lose a lot of water and some fat because you body is struggling to find energy resources other than the superfood powder you will be taking.
The 10-Day Transformation comes with:
- Pure Protein
- Pure Tart cherries, melaonin and antioxidants
- Purium detox blend
- Purium Super Lytes which is hydration and electrolytes
- Shaker Bottle
- Tape Measure
- Gym Bag (draw string backpack)
- 60 Day Money Back Guarantee as long as you buy from a Purium Distributor of from the Purium Website
Purium Cleanse – A Review Of The Purium Diet
The Purium Cleanse Review portion of this post can go two ways.
One way would be to discuss the Purium Cleanse itself and the other would be to talk about the Purium mlm opportunity.
Let’s talk about my concerns for the Purium diet itself since it will be the main product you are promoting.
The reason you will promote this product is because Purium offers $50 back to you if you get someone to buy it with a $50 gift card that you have pre-purchased. (I will talk about those in a moment)
The Purium Cleanse concerns me somewhat because of the bad Purium Reviews I have read on Amazon and in other little places on the internet.
(CIRCLE Images from: www.mypurium.com)
The positive reviews for the Purium Cleanse were suspiciously too good and many I had discovered were from Purium distributors.
I’m not saying that Purium distributors don’t have a good review background, it’s just that when you notice that a large majority of the reviews are from the Purium distributors, you start to question the validity of the review itself because of the association of a good review with a sale.
As far as me giving a review on the Purium cleanse, I have not tried it, so really my review is not so valid if you are truly considering trying the product. You get a 60 day money back guarantee so at worst, you deal with a bad product, maybe some bad side effects and you have to work to get your money back. Whether it is easy or not to get a refund, I just hate doing it so it won’t be a sale for me.
How do you become a Purium Distributor?

The Launch pack claims that you just take those 100 gift cards and you will find your way to a lifetime of residual income.
Clearly this is a very tempting thing to do.
I mean who doesn’t’ want to lose weight and make money at the same time right?
I believe the mlm companies that are in the health care arena are the smartest because there is a lot of popularity for this type of product and people are buy and trying this kind of stuff all the time!
Purium Ahead of the Pack?
With Purium being the first mlm company that I have seen use gift card marketing and the first to claim that they are the only ones who have non GMO products, although I think that YEVO International Distributors make that claim as well.
Whether another mlm company claims the non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) or not, I believe the whole argument is slightly irrelevant.
Why?
GMO’s have essentially been in existence for hundreds of years. The fact that scientist are doing more manipulation of genes than ever before in laboratory settings, does not change the fact that these modified organisms will grow into adult plants that deliver GMO spores into the world just the same as a “non-GMO” organism.
Making a blanket statement the GMO’s are unstable is inaccurate and shows a lack of understanding of what GMO is in reality.
Scaring consumers to purchase non-GMO identified food through misinformation is just not something I’m into.
GMO’s can be caused by intentional mutations and you could fairly consider a hairless guinea pig (selectively breed for the hairless mutation) a GMO.
Plants are even more dynamic GMOs and have been used in genetic research throughout history. How many times have you seen the term “Heirloom Tomatoes” on signs or had someone tell you that the seeds they have are from their great great grandmother’s trip from overseas.
Although these types of things may not seem to thought of when thinking GMO’s, essentially that is exactly what they are.
They are bred for the most plump tomatoes or the most hairless back. This is just one way that humans have manipulated genes beyond what nature would naturally do.
Knowing that GMO’s exist (even the more “prominent” GMO’s which have genes spliced in a lab or are injected with bacteria that carry specific genetic material inserted into the DNA of a plant cell) in this world is enough to know that they also are interbreeding with the “non-GMO” plants already in existence and because of this, a plant today can not truly be “non-GMO”.
To claim that GMO’s are unstable, as some Purium distributors have, is just inaccurate and bad practice.
To read more about the GMO topic, go here: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jonentine/2014/09/17/the-debate-about-gmo-safety-is-over-thanks-to-a-new-trillion-meal-study/
Aside from the gross misrepresentation of genetically modified organisms and their impact on our world, I do like the Purium beliefs. Saying thinks like the human body is a miracle and health is cool is fun and makes me happy.
Their claim that Nature provides everything we need is a bit perplexing to me because when it comes down to it, Purium and YEVO have the same problem. They are selling “real food” that is not real at all.
In order to be real food that comes from nature, I believe it should be freshly picked from the vine and oozing cytoplasm and water from it’s innards. Just sayin. Yah know?
Purium Distributor Foul Play?
Although it is easy to find a lot of websites that have happy Purium distributors you can find an equal amount of people that are frustrated with Purium products and the Purium experience.
For example, here is a little bit I found on the Purium facebook page recently from a distraught Purium Distributor explaining what appears to be foul play within the Purium Distributor Ranks: ”
It is with a heavy heart that I share this post. I called Purium be…cause I found out my enroller was switched and I had a question about the Aminos. Corporate informed me that I was enrolled by LW Alpha. A second call revealed that LW Alpha was in fact Harris Williams. After Purium got him on the phone he and corporate agreed to move me back to my original enroller. Why is it ok for this to happen in the first place? Who is this guy? I”ve never met him. I never saw him at a meeting. He never called me to support me and he certainly was not given any consent on my part to move me. Scott Kufus and Chris Sannella recruited me into Purium and Harris Williams some how stole my enrollment from the position on July 17th. This is the kind of thing that gives Network Marketing a bad name. When an upline steals enrollments from its downline.. I love Purium it’s products and all the support I have gotten from an incredible upline. I had no idea who ” LW Alpha” Harris Williams was until today when I spoke with him and he tried to lie to me about how this happened. Who at Purium would approve this illegal move? Matt Nesler has a multimillion dollar lawsuit going against Jeunesse for this same type of activity. I doubt the company or David Sandoval has any idea that this is happening and I hope they make it right; but how does a distributor have the power to take me from my enroller without any notice to me. They had no part of putting me in the business. Isn’t the originator of the distributorship the person who should be compensated? I would encourage you to call corporate and make sure your enroller is correct. Hopefully this is an isolated thing and not company wide. On a very possitive note. I am on my third transformation and am excited. I lost 4 lbs in the last 3 days. It is an incredible product. It is a shame that it gets tarnished by greed. I will keep you updated…”
