Q Sciences is a multi level marketing company with a business opportunity that speaks to me because of my Biology background.  As soon as I saw “Sciences” my ears perked up and I paid attention.

I believe others would have a similar reaction.  It’s kind of like when you pay attention if someone has “Dr.” before their name.  We, as a society, give this a higher amount of our trust than we probably should.  I’m not discounting a doctorate by any means, however, I’ve met some really stupid doctors.  Book smarts can only take you so far….and you are hearing that from a nerd, book hoarding, information sponge of a person (me) who use to think smarts was the way to wealth and prestige.  I have more credits in education than you would probably believe and know way too much about a lot of things.

I’ve been sitting around accepting that my Master’s degree, with an infinite amount of graduate credits, was the way to a life of less scarcity that I encountered as a child.

Probably like you, I believe that if you work hard, go to college and get a “real profession”, you would be successful.

 

So Dumb.  I clearly had a lot to learn (And still do) about making money and creating wealth.

 

Now you could argue that success is in the eyes of the beholder and that is most certainly true, however, the success I yearn for isn’t satisfied with just a normal stable job.

I want to rock my potential, not just obtain it.  I want to push myself and I want to see what I can really achieve.

I love looking at mlms like Q Sciences because they offer this type of encouragement.

They offer optimistic opportunity and they convince you that the sky is the limit.  It’s so different from a typical 9 to 5 job that encourages you show up on time, tells you to do what you can and the leadership is mediocre at most.

There is not true passion in the eyes of your co workers (well..maybe a few) and you live in a world of “Get me the *(#$* outta here when the end of the day work bell rings.

I want to motivate others, I want to be compensated for my enthusiastic approach and my undeniable persistence for superior results.  I’ve been trying to do that for 10 years or more in my JOB and you wouldn’t believe the road blocks and inconsistencies I’ve hit…yet I continued.

Finally, I woke up.

After being assaulted, I truly woke up to the fact that doing the same thing over and over again is the definition of Insanity. (Einstein)  I had been living in a stagnant life again and again. Accepting mediocrity because that’s what my boss did.  Living in turmoil against my own awesome self because I couldn’t understand why those around me were ok with crappy accomplishment and lowering their expectations around me rather than raising the bar.

I freakin’ want to WIN…not lower the bar.

After being assaulted….when all the bars were indefinitely lowered by my peers and administration…I couldn’t help but wake up to the fact that I had slowly been sinking into their mediocrity.  Just accepting LIFE.

That’s bullshit.

You know it is and that’s why you are here.

You are looking for a way out or for a better opportunity.

I know EXACTLY what it feels like.

So…before we get to this Q Science Review, I want you to know that Success is OUT THERE.  It is within reach and if you can sell Q Sciences to earn extra money or replace your whole income, then do it….but do it wisely. (I’ll explain)

Company History

First let me say that I’m intrigued by the simplicity of their compensation packet and I think Q Sciences has a very attractive website.  (Many multi level marketing companies are definitely are tapping into the importance of visual aesthetics)

Some of the best mlm reviews for me are the ones with superior photography, inspirational quotes and easy navigation.  I love it.  There are some that are a mess like the Jerky Direct Review shows and a few others here and there that are making transitions.  I think it was the Forever Living Review that I did that was in one of these transitions.

From what I can tell Q Sciences is not in a transition and they are coming right out into the mlm company gates with a little bit of a fire under them.

Taking advantage of attraction marketing in mlm (being done a lot these days) they offer inspirational messages and exceptionally happy looking people on their clean cut site.

I love it.

Q Sciences is serious…..seriously.  If you don’t get that they are all about happiness on their site then you’ve got to wrapped up in some sort of pessimistic ship that is sinking….JUMP OF THAT THING!

Q sciences is one of the new mlms out there, launched in January 2013.  Started by a guy name Daren Hogge.

Daren Hogge is the president and comes with a plethora of experience from his 25 years plus in the multi level marketing business industry.

In addition to being the founder and creating Q Sciences, he has a great staff in his corporate pocket and people who are inspired by quotes like this:

Daren Hogge has an impressive background and an impressive story.  He even came out of retirement in order to join Q Sciences because he believes so much in what the Q Science Products offered.

Daren started this adventure over 16 years ago and eventually came to create Q Sciences and promote their staple product Empower Plus.

Empower Plus was in development for over 16 years by a guy named Anthony Stevens.

It took over 17 years to develop the product.  Anthony Stevens developed the product after his wife suffered from bipolar depression. After she committed suicide due to the bipolar disease, he continued to develop the mood optimizer and joined forces with Daren in 2012.

Daren was volunteering at a program called “Be the Change” and felt touched by the fact that he could help change the world and help kids be healthier.

After receiving a call from Scott Malone (who discovered Empower Plus) about the product, they developed Q Sciences.

Daren was tuned into the opportunity after his touching experience with “Be the Change”

Anthony hated multi level marketing at the time and Scott asked Daren to talk to Anthony about promoting Empower Plus in order to help people across the world.

Daren, got a long lesson on how the product helped others and was drilled by Anthony about why he was so interested in the product.

Once Tony was convinced that Daren’s heart was in the right place, he offered Empower Plus as a flagship product for Q Sciences and off the multi level marketing company went.

After the initial launching, Q Science consultants began to discover that the Empower Plus product was being sought after and rarely needed follow up calls or emails because of it’s performance.

They began to build the multi level marketing company more and more on the basis of happiness in wealth at all levels.

Marc Wilson –  With over 30 years experience, Q Science will rely on Marc’s expertise in finances and operations.  Interesting factoid: Marc was a first pick for the NFL draft.

Colby Green – Q Sciences will benefit from Colby’s multilevel marketing background and his accounting skills. He is working for Q Sciences because he believes it is a substantial opportunity for expanding.

Tim Hough – Tim joined Q Sciences with over 15 years in international work in sales and marketing. Having worked for other startups and Fortune 500 companies, Tim brings on some serious director abilities for Q Sciences and the Q Sciences product line.

Marmion Harrington – In charge of marketing Q Sciences, Marmion offers experience from multi level marketing expertise and production. She is responsible for marketing Q sciences and promoting Q Sciences through design, imaging and branding.

Nick Evans – Q Sciences IT guy, Nick has experience in the multi level marketing industry and has experience in facilitating growth for such companies. This is the guy likely in charge of the Q Sciences website  which is easy to navigate and has a modern aesthetic.

All of the persons in the Q Sciences Executive Team have impressive backgrounds and seem to have been very successful at the corporate level of many companies. Many of the executives have extensive multi level marketing experience which is an asset in any mlm world.

 

MLM Reviews: The Q Sciences Products

Q Sciences offer products in the Health and Wellness Niche.  Big surprise huh?

Let’s find out why Q Sciences is any better than the other health and wellness mlms out there…if at all.

I’m a bit cynical as I do more and more mlm reviews because there are so many that offer the same promises and the same products.

Let’s dig into the Q Sciences opportunity and see what products (if any) make the difference between them and other health mlms like LIMU, YEVO International, Freelife….etc…

Much like Freelife International, Q Sciences offers a distinction among some other health mlms in the fact that they base their nutritional supplementation and Q Sciences Product on scientific data.

They emphasize this in their statement of having several countries and universities involved in the science used to create their product.

A Word of Caution:  Just because a supplement is made based off of science, does not mean the supplement itself has undergone scientific research.  It means that they looked at data of ingredients and created a formula from that data.   There is a clear distinction between science data based off of the products itself and the data from separate ingredients within the product.

Although I like that Q Sciences uses data to create their formulations, I heed caution as to whether or not the data is relevant when the products mix several ingredients scientifically proven to create some advantageous effect on your health.

UPDATE: – Empower PLUS – Q Sciences main product has been studied directly for it’s impact.  That’s one for Q Sciences! Way to go!

Adding several things in your body through supplementation always has it’s risks and biochemistry is a very interesting balance in the body.  I often times wonder if too much supplementation can cause damage by adding more molecules than your body (liver) is ready to handle.

I could not find anywhere on the Q Science website that they actually run valid scientific experiments or clinical trials on their finished Q Science products.

Q Sciences makes the claim that our environment and the toxins within it leave our bodies depleted.  Depleted of what?  It further claims we have to purify and optimize our body.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of purification is to add more water…Water helps our cells maintain the proper balance and optimization of our cytoplasmic density which in turn helps us to optimize our body’s homeostatic condition. (Impressive words huh?  I told you…I’m a nerd)

By adding more supplementation in our bodies, without actually having undergone a blood study or running tests results on ourselves, leaves us in a position where are not optimizing ourselves necessarily but rather we are building on more work for our body to filter through our system.  Yeah…we might get some benefit from ONE of the ingredients, but what about the other ones that we don’t need?

I don’t think there is a cure all pill out there and that is one of my major problems with mlm health companies.   Customization is almost necessary and bulk supplementation stuffed into one little pill or water additive can be biologically irresponsible and is the reason you see the FDA warnings on supplementation.

Something that Stands Out:  I love when mlms are a little different and Q Sciences definitely has stepped out of the cookie cutter when it comes to different ways that they are promoting their product.

One of the unique strategies I saw was their Q Sciences Kids club where they ask young kids to write about how Q sciences has helped changed their lives.

This stands out as an almost genius move because they are embedding their confidence about the performance of their product to the up and coming generation years before they even enter the work force.

This will help them maintain longevity and reminds me of Avon.  When I was growing up, I saw Avon everywhere.

Q Sciences is making sure that not just the working and older generations pay attention but they are putting a line out there in the generations to come by offering a Q Sciences Kids club  that gives away prizes like iPod touch and calendars along with fun science trivia.

Talk about smart and ahead of the mlm game.

When you join the Q Sciences opportunity, according to the compensation plan, you are called a Q Sciences independent business owner (IBO).

When creating the Q Sciences comp plan, they Q Sciences team claims that they took 25 years of multi level marketing experience and made the more fair and flexible compensation plan around (You never heard that before did you?  Ha ha!  Doesn’t the Yevo International Comp Plan claim this too?)

So it looks like the Q Sciences compensation plan offers 13 different ways to make money. I believe they also offer promotional incentives monthly as well so there are actually more ways to earn money with Q Sciences than lists.

In order to understand the ways in which the compensation plan for Q Sciences work, we need to dissect each part of the pay plan.

Put on your seatbelts…It looks like it’s going to be a long ride into the comp plan of Q Sciences…

Q Sciences Comp Plan – Retail Sales Profit with weekly pay

This is just like most other mlms out there in my mlm reviews.  Basically, you buy the product at a wholesale price and you sell it for a profit.  The sales profit is the difference between what you would pay and what the customer pays.

In order to make money from this, you must be an Active Q Sciences Distributor or IBO.  This is different from the Beachbody compensation plan which requires you to bring on two Beachbody coaches BEFORE you make money, so already Q Sciences is looking better.

Q Sciences Compensation Plan – Team of 3 Bonus monthly pay

As an incentive to build your downline (see mlm glossary) you are offered a cash bonus of $50 each month when you enroll 3 or more Q Services distributors and who are active on a monthly autoship program of 100 PV or more.  In addition they must have a combined 500PV to get the $50 bonus.  PV or Personal Volume is likely equal to the amount of sales you make. It is one of the things I hate about mlm companies. They make everything in points rather than monetary value.  I’m sure it’s to protect themselves, however, it is annoying nonetheless.

Q Sciences Compensation Plan – Quick Start bonus – Weekly Pay

This is a typical mlm fast start bonus which offers you a significant advantage if you build your team within your first 30 days of when you become a Q Sciences Distributor.

In order to get the Q Sciences Quick Start Bonus you must be active with 40 PV.  The Quick Start Bonus allows you to earn the following:

• 10% Bonus on the PV of your Level one Q Science Distributors during their first month of enrollment.
• 20% Bonus on the PV of you Level 2 Q Science Distributors during their first month of enrollment
• 5% Bonus on the PV of the Level 3 Q Sciences Distributor during the first month.

This is a bonus that obviously encourages you to not only add more Q Sciences Distributors but to also help your Q Sciences IBO’s to sell more product.

Let’s take a quick break here and talk about joining Q Sciences.

I’m starting to think that when you go into a mlm, you better already have a good following if you want a bonus like this to be supremely taken advantage of.  I just don’t see where it would be super beneficial to work that hard otherwise.  I think if you planned to gather a following and then “launch” your Q Science career with a massive following you would be a lot smarter than going in without a following or without any knowledge of how to acquire and email list and drive traffic.

Driving traffic to a site and getting people to sign up for your newsletter is a skill set you will need in order to be massively successful at any mlm.

Q Sciences Compensation Plan –Power 30 Bonus –The Complication begins for this Weekly Bonus

Here is where, as a mlm reviewer, I start to crinkle up my nose.

When you have to take a whole page or more to explain your comp plan, I’m not convinced that it’s super easy.

Nonetheless, here is the best explanation of the Q Services Comp Plan Power 30 Bonus.

This is a bonus that rewards you for investing in the first month of your enrollment.  It gives you Bonus Pool Shares.

Every Week, Q Science will reserve 2% of the entire company qualifying volume for this bonus and it is divided and paid to the Q Sciences Distributor based on the number of shares they earned.

Earning shares is done during your first 30 days as a Q Sciences Seller.  If you do this right, it can provide a lifetime of benefit.

Here’s how it’s divided out:

• 350 PV = 2X
• 750 PV = 3X
• 1500 PV = 5X

 Each time you get someone to join Q sciences you and your new distributor earn a Multplier of 2x, 3x or 5x.  The number of shares you receive is then dependent on the PV you earn and the multiplier.

Here’s a Table to show you how it works:

Here’s an example:

You buy the Executive pack and get 1500 PV, so you earn 5X multiplier.  You sponsor a Q Sciences Distributor who does the same.  You both then earn 25 shares for that week which is later paid by the 2% of company sales.

 

Q Sciences Compensation Plan –Unilevel Comp Plan

This is the bulk of the Q Sciences compensation plan and provides you with a long term source of income as your downline grows.

You are not eligible for the Q Sciences comp plan at this level until 30 days has passed. Once 30 days is gone, you are then eligible for the Unilevel monthly pays.

Your paid rank determines your Q Sciences comp plan ranking.

Like most mlms, Q Sciences uses dynamic compression so if you have inactive people in your downline, you will not “lose” any benefits.

To qualify for all levels of this comp plan, you must be an Active Q Science Distributor with 100 PV. If you are in the Silver Rank, you must earn 200PV or more.

Here are the Levels of the Q Sciences Comp Plan:

Q Sciences IBO

This level requires a 100 OV (overall volume) which is already done if you are active due to your 100PV requirement.

You MUST have 1 personally sponsored Q Sciences Distributor in order to be in this rank.

This basically means you MUST get someone sponsored in your downline in your first 30 days or you will not make anything  because you will not be eligible. (You can still make retail profits but it won’t get you the wealth you are likely trying to acquire by looking mlms like Q Sciences)

You get 5% of the commissions earned in your 1^st level of Distributors

Q Sciences Builder

Requirements include the same as the Q Sciences IBO but in addition you need 375 OV.

You then receive 5% of Level 1 commission and 5% of Level 2.

Q Sciences Pro

The only change on this level is that you will have 750 in OV and you earn 5% from all top three Levels in your downline.

Q Sciences Executive

This is the first big Jump in the Q Sciences comp plan.

At this level you must sponsor TWO Q Science Distributors, carry 1500 OV with no more than 500 coming from any one leg.

IN addition you earn 5% on the top four levels in your organization.

Q Sciences Elite

All of the same things as the lower ranks but includes earning 5% on the first 5 levels as long as you obtain 4500 in OV, have 2 Q Sciences Sellers and have no more than 1500 PV from any one leg.

Q Sciences Bronze

This Q Sciences Ranking requires 10K in OV with a 3K limit per leg.

In addition, you receive 5% from the commissions in Level 1-5 and 4$ commission from your Level 6 Distributors.

Q Sciences Silver

This level boosts your PV up to 200 and requires an OV of 20K with no more than 7K from any one leg.

You compensation from the downline sales is 5% from Level 1 and 5, 4% from Level 6 and 3% from Level 7.

Q Sciences Gold

Being active at this level again requires a 200 PV. It also requires a 40K OV with no more than 15K from any one leg.

You earn 5% on levels 1-5, 5% on level 6 and 3% on level 7 and 8.

Q Sciences Platinum

This level requires 200 PV and 150K OV with nor more than 65K in the non-high.

5% is earned Level 1-5, 4% Level 6, 3% Level 7-8, 2% Level 9

Ruby

This is where HUGE earnings begin. At this level you will have reached 10 levels of earnings off of your down line.

To be a Ruby you must have 200 pv, 150K in OV with your non high leg being 65K and sponsored 2 Q Science Disributors.

The earnings are as follows:

• Level 1-5 = 5%
• Level 6 = 4%
• Level 7,8 = 3%
• Level 9 =2%
• Level 10 = 1%

Emerald

With earnings the same at this level, the only distinction between this and the higher levels and Ruby are in what you bring into the company.

As an Emerald you will have acquired 300K ov and have a leg of 150K

Diamond

With earnings the same at this level, the only distinction between this and the higher levels and Ruby are in what you bring into the company.

As an Emerald you will have acquired 600K ov and have a leg of 350K

 

Crown

With earnings the same at this level, the only distinction between this and the higher levels and Ruby are in what you bring into the company.

As an Emerald you will have acquired 1 Million ov and have a leg of 600K

 

Q Sciences Comp Plan – Customer Sales Bonus

This is similar to a leader ship bonus and offers you money for each preferred customer you bring in. This bonus is only active after the first 30 days and is paid based on your PV and anything over 240 PV.  PV for the Customer Sales bonus is considered the Customer volume.

This bonus pays 20% on all PV over 240 and an additional 18% that is paid upline up to 10 levels.

Here’s an example:

If you have 720 OV, you subtract the 240PV and get 480PV.  480 is then your PV and you earn 20% on that which is about $100. 18% of the 480 is then divided among 10 upline sponsors.

Q Sciences Comp Plan – Elite Bonus

This is an advancement bonus.  You get a one time payment of $650 IN PRODUCT at wholesale pricing or $200 cash.

This is paid out once you reach the Elite Status in the first 30 days. If you don’t do it in the first 30 days, you can still earn $100 one time bonus.

Q Sciences Compensation Plan – Bronze Bonus

This is paid when you reach Bronze for the first time. It is for $1000 in product.

Q Sciences Compensation – The Generation Matching Bonus

This awards you for making the Silver rank or above. You are paid per generation which is the number of levels between you and the Silver ranked person in your downline.

Here is the generation bonus:

Generation 1 – All Q Science Ranks get 6% of the G1 commissions.

Generation 2 – Starting at the Gold Rank, you get 5% of all commissions PLUS your commission from G1.

Generation 3 –G1 Plus G2 and fi you are platinum or above, you get 5% of g3

Generation 4 – G1, G2, G3 plus 4% G4, 3% for G5 and you must be Ruby or more.

Generation 5 – G1, G2, G3 gets 5% and 4% for G4, 3% G5 with Emerald Rank or higher

Generation 6 G1, G2, G3 gets 5% and 4% for G4, 3% G5, 2% of Generation 6 with Diamond Rank AND Crown Ranking.

Q Sciences Compensation – The Lifestyle Bonus

If you reach gold or more in the Q sciences comp plan, you are eligible to receive the $500 car bonus, your health insurance OR you can apply 75% of it to acquired debt.  AS you advance in rank, you receive an additional $150 up to the rank of Crown.

The Crown Bonus is $1500.

You have to be a gold paid as rank for 2 months and maintain it. You must be active and you can wait until you get $2000 before you buy a car.

QSciences Compensation – The Global Leadership Bonus

This part of the Q Sciences comp plan includes a payout for achieving Platinum or higher in the ranks.

Each month there is a division of bonus pools from 0.5% of Travel Volume that is save by Q Sciences.

You get 0.5 shares each month for each rank obtained. The share doubles to 1 if you are in the rank for more than one month.

Here’s how it would work:

You obtain platinum the first month you get o.5shares.  The second month you are platinum you get 1 share (another 0.5), then you become a Ruby.  When you become a Ruby you earn 0.5 for the ruby and 0.5 for the Platinum. If you are rube 2x in a row, you would get 1 share from Ruby and 0.5 from Platinum.

Q Sciences Compensation – Preferred Customer Product Program

This allows the Q Sciences distributor to earn free product and auto ship for free per month.

If you sponsor three or more Preferred Customers who has a PV of 360 or more, you earn up to 120PV in autoship in the following month. If it’s more than 720PV, you get 240PV of product.

 

Q Sciences Compensation – The AMOR Program

AMOR = Automatic Monthly Order Rewards

The AMOR program gives a reward to the Q Sciences Distributors for maintaining a monthly autoship with Q Sciences.

Each month it ships you earn 20% of the order in AMOR points. (ugh…more points)

The Amor points are worth $1 wholesale. You can bank or redeem these points for products ONLY.

While you get the this benefit, you will also get free product in your monthly autoship each month.

If you are with Q Sciences for a year the percentage increases by 5% for a total of 25% of your Autoship orders.

There is a cap of 240 AMOR points and you can not get the Cellerciser or the Mindfit with the points.

Active IBO = A Q Sciences Distributor who has 40PV or more each month

AMOR – Auto Monthly Order Reward

Autoship- When products ship on a predetermined date and are automatically charged to you.

Downline – All of the Q Science distributors who joinesd after or below you in the geneaology of your business.

Dynamic Compression – When in active or non qualifying Q Science distributors are taken out of the equation before calculating commissions.

Generation – The distance from one rank to another in your downline.  For example, if you are silver, the generation goes all the way through all levels until you reach the next Silver in your downline

Holding Tank – When you can place a new Q Sciences distributor anywhere you want in the first 30 days.

IBO – Q Sciences Distributor (Independent Business Owner)

Leg – Each company under your individually sponsored Q Science Distributors. If you sponsored 6 distributors, you have 6 legs.

Level – Distance between one you and another distributor downline or upline in a tree.

Non-High Legs – These are legs that do not contain the most qualifying volume of all the legs in the organization.

Organization – You and all of your downline.

OV – Organization Volume. The total of all the sales by your organization.

PA – Personally sponsored and Active Q Science Distributor

Paid Rank – The rank in which you are qualified to be paid and receive bonuses.

Placement – The distributor who is immediately in the upline above another distributor

Placement Tree – Geanealogy Tree which shows sponsored relationships in the organization

Preferred Customer – A Q Sciences customer on autoship but not a distributor

PV – Personal Volume

Sponsor – The person who enrolled you into the Q Sciences opportunity

Sponser Tree – Similiar to the placement tree

Upline – The opposite of the downline.

Before joining, Consider taking a coaching program or enrolling in mlm school (if you will) to learn what you need to know in order to make a killer living online.
