Looking for Shaboxx? Maybe a Shaboxx Review?
Well, put on your seatbelt because I just got off this rollercoaster ride and I have to tell you….there is some KKKKAAAHHHRAAAZYY stuff going on with this (ahem) Mlm opportunity…or scam….or
Actually…let’s just say I’m not sure what the heck it is.
First of all…let’s get the easy stuff out of the way.
You know, the basic information you can find by going to the www.shaboxx.com site.
Shaboxx Review – The Company
Shaboxx is taking advantage of people looking to stick it to the cable companies. (Personally I don’t blame them….Comcast is my mortal enemy)
At any rate, right NOW, the website looks like there is not much there. Lucky for you, I know how to dig and find stuff.
The Shaboxx website was registered on August 12, 2015. Then I believe it was live in November.
That doesn’t tell me too much, but digging a little deeper I found that the site has some YouTube videos that are early on with this “mlm launch” by a guy named “Steve West”.
Some interesting facts about Steven West….
- From Cherry Hill New Jersey
- Phone number registered was 856-308-0325 (Camden New Jersey)
- Company registered- Omnipoint Communications Enterprises.
- There was a guy named Steven S. Watstein who is married to a Sherri West. He falsely pretended to be Steven West and was involved in some serious scamming (See story here: http://www.nytimes.com/1993/03/04/nyregion/entrepreneur-pleads-guilty-in-mail-fraud.html
Now…this is where I REALLY started sleuthing….
You see, the website is now “private” but I was able to find the registration information prior to that occurring.
I also noted that a women named Lorna Thurston of www.realwealthsolution.com was somehow involved with this company. (woman….man…..not sure because I don’t believe these are real names at all)
She has a very skippy past as well (read more about it below)
Everything I found about a guy name Steve West was “nicht so gut”. So…if this is an alias….I’d say it’s a pretty bad one.
(Note to self: If I choose to hide behind an alias…DO NOT Pick STEVE WEST as the name)
Shaboxx Review – The Product
The Shaboxx site had little information. Actually it was really quite weird.
The one thing I was able to find from the site was a Prayer Request form.

Now, I don’t have a problem with prayer…but on a media streaming device page that is clearly out to promote a way to make money?
I mean….you better be seriously “pure” if you are going to do something like this….
I don’t get it.
Especially as I dug even deeper and found some seriously concerning things….(keep reading)
Anyways…back to this Shaboxx Product.
Oh wait…what product?
The Shaboxx isn’t for sale….you can only get it if you join the Shaboxx business opportunity.
Shaboxx – Compensation Plan
When you first look for the Shaboxx comp plan, you find a poem…or a statement…I’m not sure.
Anyways..here it is….

Through some searching, I was able to find out that this is an opportunity to get a free Shaboxx and get paid.
It appears that you first have to Pay $60 to get in on the Shaboxx opportunity. Then you get recruits (normal mlm stuff…but 16 is a bit much)
Once you have 16 recruits you are suppose to get your free Shaboxx system.
Then, after 533 people (weird right?) follow you get paid $400.
You take $100 of that and buy two more “income centers” then start over again.
Those two then should double what you just made.
You should get $800 the second time around ($200 is used to reinvest for more centers). This time you purchase 4 centers and start over.
You make $1600 and reinvest $400….and so on…..
And…in another twist, I found this information regarding the Shaboxx comp plan:
- You get 16 spots filled and get paid $50 (queue1)
- You get 261 filled and get $50 (queue 2)
- You get 533 filled and get $300 (queue 3)
- You get two new spots in queue 1 again
(So it basically sounds like what the complaint was about…you get 533 peeps and you are supposed to get $300 net and $100 to “reinvest”.
Is your head on fire yet?
If your little red alert is going off in your head after seeing this, I’m sure there is a reason…
And I found it…
The Shaboxx Scam
Sadly…it looks like right out the box, the Shaboxx opportunity has really upset someone.
I found this on the popular ripoff report site:
“For an entry fee of only $60 you have a income center that will always keep paying you! They are supposed to send a Shaboxx after only 16 have followed you! This is a monoline Multilevel after 533 people follow you are supposed to get a payout of $400, $100 will be used to purchase two more income centers and you will start the income process over again but will now be twice the money. This time you are supposed to get $800 and $200 will be used to purchase 4 more centers. When 533 more people follow you they are supposed to pay you $1600 using $400 to give you 8 more income centers again after 533 follow you are supposed to get $3200!!! $5300 total! Now you take your own $60 and start all over again! After over 9000 centers after me: I Still have not received one thin dime!”
Uhmm….Not a good way to start out right?
But, I was glad to see this comment because it helped me decipher the “Shaboxx compensation plan”.

Shaboxx Review – Consultant Issues?
The one “consultant” I found that interested me most was someone by the name of Lorna Thurston.
Now, I love the name Lorna for two reasons:
- I worked with a Lorna who was by far one of the nicest and most smiling persons I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
- I love Lorna Doones (a spectacular cookie reserved for the most special of celebrations)
But..this Lorna?
She doesn’t compare.
Here’s the problem.
In the past several years, Lorna Thruston has changed her website from oppoortunity to opportunity.
She swore she had the “BEST MONEY MAKING OPPORTUNITY EVER!!!” so many times that she has well worn out her welcome.
As a matter of a fact, that poor boy who cried wolf? He’s not the winner of that game anymore.
Lorna is.
Why?
Check out the history of her website (currently promoting Shaboxx)
- 2011 – NLC International (best opportunity ever)
- 2012 /2013 – Motor Club of America (an actual mlm)
- 2013 – Something again…not sure what early on in 2013
- 2013 later – Revenue Share Revolution called JubiRev
- 2013…again…- LCP System (something about free gold…)
- 2014 – Mobile Gaming and something that pays lots of money
- 2015 – MoneyBags 775 Pro (At least the website started to look better at this point)
- 2016 – Shaboxx as early as October ….
20???? – What is awfully strange about this site is that on the backend there is a TON of gibberish. Literally.

I’m not sure if they are building a real site or not. (I’m thinking not)
Then, in a weird twist, I happened upon a page for gopro.com AND another thing called Wealth Builders Association.
The PHOTO OF the WBA is quite interesting because it sends a clear message that the owner of this site is after ONE THING.
MONEY. Money. MONEY.
(Aren’t we all though?)
One way that “Lorna” is making money off the Shaboxx opportunity is by selling a “splash page” to help sell the opportunity for the small fee of $29.95
Weird enough, you have to pay, then email her your information. It seems to me that someone who has been in the business for several years now should have a better system set up.
THEN…AS IF that wasn’t enough…this website is associated with unifiedwealthsolutions.com….
I bet you will never guess what this site is for…

Thanks for reading my Shaboxx Review Angela. I use pixlr believe it or not! I have lightroom and some other softwares but I find that the pixlr website is faster and easier than waiting for my larger computer to do work. I use the “big wig” programs if I have large amounts of photos and designs to create.
So what you are saying is that Shaboxx really is just a scam, right? I know someone who sent them $6,800 and is sooo sure he is going to get back thousands. Makes me sick! He is a senior citizen and can never recover that money, plus, $5ooo of it was charged on his charge card!!!
Hi Elaine, Thank you for looking over my Shaboxx review. And as much as I hate to say things are scams, I am right there with you on with this one. And, since I recently found out that you are not required to buy products in order to promote business opportunities like this (See Mlm Products Requirement Post), it truly irritates me even more. I’m sure there must be some legal action your friend can take. Best Advice? Get a lawyer. Better Advice (Because after all…time is a commodity we will never get back…) Cope it up to a loss and be VERY weary of these types of businesses in the future. It sounds like your friend has a good friend (wink) looking out for them. I wish I could help more.
Thanks. Another question: how does having a disclaimer keep Steve West from not being tracked down from the law for trying to operate a business illegally? Hasn’t he been discovered and isn’t there anyone who is investigating him? Also, why isn’t he in prison? I read that he was given 30 years for mail fraud and that was in 1993! How does he get the money someone sends him, through his PayPal?
Well, these are all good questions. Here’s the thing. Steven West is a scammer. Whether it’s under his name or a false name, he has already shown that he knows how to get around the red tape. All that being said, the actual website is under someone named Lorna Thurston (nowhere near the name of Steve West). It could be that Steve West isn’t involved in Shaboxx at all or that both Lorna and Steve are alias for a third party that is not known. That’s one of the problems with the internet. You can hide yourself pretty well if you want to. As far as investigating him? It’s not something I’m going to spend my time on, however, it doesn’t mean that someone like you can’t notify the state attorney general, consult a lawyer, hire a private investigator or send tips to the FBI if you feel it necessary. One thing I do know, is that the more you shout…the more you will be heard. Here are a few resources for you. Click here to File Fraud Claims with the FBI, Click here to submit tips of suspected online fraud crime, Internet Crime Complaint Center. I know that you can also submit complaints (and should) at the local and state level. However, I’m pretty sure you have to do so in the location of where the site is registered. Your friend should have information on the credit card statement or on receipts of who actually took the money. Local police are still far behind the times when it comes to cyber crimes. I hope this helps!

Shaboxx is NOT a scam! They haven’t even launched yet! They sell a product! And more products to come!..Bank of America, & Wells Fargo is working with Shaboxx! The attorney general has approved Shaboxx comp plan!..Quit believing the lies! Steve West is a very honest, & loyal man!…Some just got impatient waiting on the launch! So they got mad.Steve refunded their money! BOA, & Wells Fargo would NEVER get involved with scams! Quit believing the negativity! You’ll never get anywhere!

Just because Steve’s saids something does not make it true. What proof do you have that any Attorney Journal has approved the compensation plan? I listen to what people say but render my opinion by their actions and results and by Steve’s actions and results there is a problem somewhere or perhaps just not enough disclosure about the compensation plan process. Do you really think banks only deal with reputable people and they themself are always honest in their dealings?

Hi guys, great information on this site. As far as Steve goes, I read somewhere that he supposedly got 30 years in jail. Now if that were the case, he’d still be there. I joined and did not tell anyone. I was only interested in the boxes which by the way I am very pleased with and have actually been selling and making a profit. Most people are being robbed by their cable and satellite companies and many are looking for a break. A streaming box that turns your TV into a smart TV definitely is that answer. As far as the straight line matrix goes, I’m not familiar and don’t know if they ever pan out.

I definitely think that the idea of the box is awesome. I personally can not stand cable companies. It’s mostly because, in my experience, they have the worst customer service on Earth. It’s nice to hear that you have been making profits. What made you choose Shaboxx over the other streaming boxes out there? I would still be a little concerned about Shaboxx opportunity. It sounds like you’re saying you purchase the boxes and are not concerned about a downline. Is that correct? If so, why not share your decision to do this and how you sell them for other people who feel misled by the company?
If your interest is only in selling the box I may have something for you in a few days that offers the same box without the baggage that is starting to be associated with Shaboxx.

The Shaboxx Brand Partnership Council (SBPC) send a letter to Steve giving him 48 hours to contact us. The content of the letter will be reveal at that time unless he does contact us. Tomorrow I will post on here the form to use if you wish for us to represent your interest in our negotiations with Steve should he response. If he does not then he has made his own bed as we will still continue our efforts just in a different way.
