apparently, the photo insert  is a photo taken by our brother Wencel Angeles ( http://marikeno.blogspot.com )

here's what he has to say
http://marikeno.blogspot.com/2010/02/thou-shalt-not-steal.html

any actions? reactions? comments? or suggestions are welcome.
to guys who can clarify this please do so and put justice in this view.
this can happen again as it had happened before - we need to take considerations now

Thank you JC for the feature.  We're hoping that they would at least properly acknowledge and credit my work and my blog.  The City Mayor has nothing to do with it, so I'm hoping for her full support on this.

I just personally submitted a formal complaint letter to the office of the City Mayor and to the office of Councilor Donn Favis this afternoon regarding the incident.

FYI, Councilor Donn Favis is leading Marikina's Management Information Systems Department (MIS).  The Webmasters are working under him.

Ramil Nafarette (aka Ramilito), Regardless of all these laws and copyright justice, it all boils down to one thing.  RESPECT.  You disrespected me as a person, you disrespected me as a Marikina citizen, you disrespected my right  as the rightful owner of the photo, and you brought such disgrace to the entire department of the Management Information Systems of Marikina.  Your email to me wouldn't mean a thing if you would leave such comment showing nothing but pure insincerity.

Thank you JC for helping me on this.  As of February 18, 2010, I personally visited the office of our City Mayor and also Councilor Donn Favis to present my complaint letter.  This is a copy of the letter I gave them.  http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_aiRVtGTF9nw/S4u96WeGvuI/AAAAAAAACkY/2UsyD6cwRkw/s1600-h/Complaint+Letter.jpg

Finally, a formal apology letter from Ramil Nafarette, web developer of the Official Marikina Goverment Website. They've used my Marikeno blog photo for 3 months without my permission and never cared to say a decent sorry for what they did, until today. What do you guys think about the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines regarding the Fair Use of Copyrighted Works? You may read the full story and the actual apology letter by clicking the URL below.

http://marikeno.blogspot.com/2010/02/thou-shalt-not-steal.html

To Mr. Ramil Nafarrete, I hope you don't mind me posting your first ever apology letter on the net since you refused to post it on your site at marikina.gov.ph.  Thank you Mr. Nafarrete.
