Is Thrive Life a good business to start?
What are the Thrive Products and how will they benefit you or your family?
Can you sell Thrive Life Products and make a living?
This Thrive Life Review is intended to help you answer these questions and hopefully help you decided if Thrive Life is a good business to start to make extra income.
Why are you here?
You are most like here seeking more information on the Thrive Live Business opportunity because you have met a Thrive Life Distributor, enjoy Thrive Life Products or are looking for a lucrative mlm or an easy mlm to join and make money for you and your family.
When you first go to the Thrive Live Website (www.thrivelife.com), you will see an easy to navigate website with very short and simple explanations of what they are and what Thrive Life Sells.
What is Thrive Life?
Thrive Live is a multi level marketing company that sells food. That is as simple as it can be put.
Here is a better example of what they are trying to do:
Why in the world they like this video enough to put on the front page of one of their subdomains, I have no idea. It’s too slow, the lighting is a put off and it just doesn’t look up to date and professional to me. Add in the annoying (sounded like free) music, and some cheesy graphics that pop up and you got yourself a VERY long video that is supposed to make me want to buy or sell thrive life?
The video does something that I absolutely hate about media….makes things all negative and filled with doom.
Oh my. I never knew how miserable a trip to the grocery store could be and on top of that, all the food I’m buying is bad now?
Ahh!
It’s frustrating.
Then, on top of that the large majority of their claim is that foods loose nutritional value if they are not picked right at the peak of ripeness before eating. Food on the shelves are less nutritionally sound for us somehow.
Yeah, so a banana has less vitamins and the spinach lost a little bit, but does that mean I have to buy it freeze dried in a box?
My biggest issue with this type of “scare tactic” is that it creates a problem that I don’t’ believe really exists.
Newsflash: It’s ok to eat food that has been sitting in a refrigerator for a couple days.
Think about it. Back in hunter gatherer days, you might not eat a banana until it hit the ground way past ripeness. Or let’s talk spinach. You might eat all you can and sure, you’ll get some peak days but as the weather changes, you would be eating “fresh” but less nutrient dense spinach too.
Let’s take a look at some of the claims Thrive Life offers their potential consumers:
Thrive Life Scam?
This is not a typical Thrive Life Scam review. Rather than looking to see If they are a scam in regards to being a mlm scam, I am taking a look at the claims they are making in order to sell Thrive products to the general public via the mlm gateway.
As I’m typing this sentence, I have not predetermined if Thrive Life is a Scam or not but by the end of this section of my article, you will know exactly what I think in regards to Thrive Life Products and if I think they are trying to scam people.
So, let’s start with the Thrive Life Product Claims:
-
Thrive Life and Convenience.
If you check out their “Why Thrive Life” tabs, you will notice the convenient one located on the left of the webpage labeled “Why Thrive”. When you click on it it takes you to a subdomain that say “convenient” and looks like this:
Let’s take note on the convenience that Thrive Life is saying they offer with their products.
- No Prep Required
- No Washing Fruits/Vegges
- No Chopping/Slicing
- No Peeling Skins
- No removing Fruit rinds
- No Thawing and Browning Meats
- No breaking and Separating Eggs
I think my stomach is Prank Calling Thrive Life right now. Trust me, I’m trying to see the benefits here, but I guess I’m being the devil’s advocate.
Here’s the way I see it:
- No Prep? – What am I just going to open a can of meat and chomp down? Yes, welcome to my house, I would love to offer you some dinner. I didn’t spend any time prepping it but you’re going to love it because it Thrive Life Products. Would you like one lump of dried meat or two? For dessert? Oh that’s exciting! We can shove meat and fruit in our mouths at the same time while the water leaves our tongue cells through osmosis to make our lovely peachy meat concoction a hydrated heaven of Thrive Food. (Uhm……????)
- No Washing Fruits/Vegges – Man…I hate washing fruits and veges. It just takes SOOOOOOO Much time. I just can’t even stand it! I mean…I want my kids to never learn about fruits because I just can’t stand the fact that I would have to handle them. It’s like rubbing two styrofoam pieces together. Ain’t gonna do it!
- No Chopping/Slicing/Dicing. One of my favorite times of day is when my four year old hops up on here little kitchen stool (remind me to talk about that sometime after This Thrive Review because it’s by far the most awesome stool on Earth for children in the kitchen) and learns how to chop up foods for dinner. She learns about safety, about the different parts of fruits, different meats and all sorts of stuff. We even love it and get a good laugh when we make hamburgers and she asks to “smack the meat” and gets upset if you don’t let it happen. Good Times. Why would Thrive Life benefit me by taking those moments away?
- No Peeling Skins. Think about it. First of all, we don’t’ peel skins in our home. Skins are healthy, full of fiber and nutrients. So this argument is just irrelevant to me. Even with applesauce, we chop up those skins and you already know how much I love watching my daughter fulfill her inquisitive nature.
- No removing fruit rinds. One of the things I like about oranges is the convenience the rinds provide as nature’s handle. In addition, you can make some really unique food art with rinds. And let’s not forget how cool it is to throw a twist in a drink or on top of meringue. Rinds offer us a chance to get creative and make food visually pleasing. I don’t’ want to ruin my visually appealing world.
- No Thawing or Browning Meats. I just don’t’ even know where to start with this. First off, I rarely thaw my meats. I generally like them fresh. Think about the nice smell of food when dinner if being prepped….during the browning process. .on top of all that…think of freeze dried meat. Have you ever tried it? I have. It’s best reserved for times when you have no other options. (Just saying….)
- No Breaking and Separating Eggs. This is another opportunity to show your kids a little about life and its something my four year old loves. In addition, freeze dried eggs are not even remotely close to pleasing my palate. I cannot express enough how gross powdered eggs are. Something is definitely lost in the process.
In a time where we are rushing all over the place and losing family time and some people not even acknowledging the value of family time, Thrive Life is making an important part of our social culture more obsolete. I’m not busting on Thrive Life or saying they have a crap product, but I will say that I don’t agree with the majority of their reasons to get others to buy the product. Some of my fondest memories of being with my children are in the kitchen cooking with them and even grocery shopping. It’s our Sunday event and I hate to miss it.
I can definitely see value in their product for very cool things like backpacking, camping, rock climbing treks and overnight kayaking rendezvous.
As a matter of a fact, I would jump on the opportunity to buy these products for such trips because I can just see the awesome feast I could have after a good day of backpacking or scraping my fingertips off of a peak at Seneca Rocks. Yum!

Thrive Life and Health.
This one claim surprises me because rather than tell me why their product is healthy (which I think would have been better), they talk briefly about how their food is “fresher than fresh” because they pick it ripe off the tree.
I’m not sure this is a good argument because they still have to process it. It’s being unpeeled by someone else besides me and then processed into freeze dried food.
This particular area of the Thrive Life website also states that I might be surprised at how tasty the food is.
It’s dried food.
I’m just not going to love it better than the real thing.
In addition to being “tasty”, they talk about being more “natural” than other foods and that they are not highly process, but I would like to argue that any movement to take food and make it something other than what it is in it’s real state is too much processing.
This just reminds me my YEVO International Review. “Hey! We are healthy! Come buy our cardboard food!” Ugh.
In addition, they have a section about “trimming the fat” where it talks about how thrive helps you with homemade meals.
I’m sorry, but homemade to me is not and will never include something that comes out of a box. Even “Homemade brownies” are not really homemade unless you make them from scratch.
-
Thrive Live and Cost Efficiency.
The Thrive Life Company boasts that they save you close to $2000 a year in grocery because you no longer have to throw away food.
They are going on some average they found about how much food the average household throws away.
They say their food won’t go bad so they are better. (How could the food go bad? It is lacking one of the primarily and most needed molecules on Earth…..which is WATER!)
The other claim in this section of the Thrive Life site is that when you pay for the food, you are paying for wasted parts too. For instance, you pay for the pineapple top and skin but you don’t eat it. With Thrive Life, you only pay for the parts you use.
There are so many stores that will sell you the fresh parts per pound without the rinds and skin that I just don’t’ see this as an issue.
-
Thrive Life and Taste.
Thrive life has a total of 5 different comments on their page about tastiness. To me it seems that they just wanted to make an extra page. I don’t know. It is interesting that one reviewer states that nothing they made before tasted any good but Thrive is delicious. Should we really be trusting someone who has no idea how to make tasty items? Doesn’t that show a lack in their ability to review a product? I’m not sure how NO food that you’ve ever made in your life has ever tasted any good. (I know I’m taking this WAAY far out there but I’m just saying…)
Remember about Thrive Life being healthy??? Check this out. Here they are showing us ways to beef up thrive life and if you ask me, some of this is clearly not healthy….
-
Thrive Life and Quality
The Thrive Life site talks of how they meet and exceed quality standards set by independent companies, the FDA and gluten free certificate inspectors. This is nice and it would be what I would expect out of any foods that are sold in the U.S. or anywhere really where there are people with enough money to buy foods like this.
One interesting thing I saw is that they do not allow their food to be made or packaged in china and try to keep jobs within the US whenever possible.
This is an admirable trait for sure.
-
Thrive Life and Versatility.
Now we’re talking. This is definitely one of the reasons you might actually want Thrive. I’m thinking it would be more awesome to have it on hand for emergencies and in case you need an ingredient and all the stores are closed. For instance, say you are making Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve and you forgot to get butter. You can use their powdered butter (gag…but better than nothing!).
One of the more interesting ideas on this page is to powderize the Thrive Foods and sprinkle them on foods for kids or adults that are picky about eating vegetables. You can trick them with powdery bits and pieces of green veges.
So is Thrive Life a Scam? What’s the Verdict?
As far as the food, Thrive Life is borderline, in my opinion. It’s not that their product sucks or anything like that, it’s more because of the way their website uses scare tactics to make you think you should have these foods.
They word things to make you think all of their food I better: “Most of our food is one ingredient” and they just don’t have a lot of value, in my opinion.
As far as the food, I think the yogurt bites and the fact that freeze dried foods are great snacking for kids, it’s great.
I just don’t’ agree with the “Why Thrive” points because some of them seem a bit much. I mean really…Have you ever had powdered milk? It’s nowhere near the same thing as real milk. I just can’t see where “taste” would be a comparison to the real thing.
Another thing that bugs me about Thrive Life food is that they stress it is so much better than “real” food because the flash freeze it at the peak of ripeness.
I know I mentioned this already, but it’s worth mentioning again that our tribal ancestors didn’t go around picking fruits at their absolute ripened state. They survived and got what they needed from the food before it was ripe, while it was ripe and after it was ripe.
All stages of food.
My point here is that all of the organisms on this Earth evolve together and the ones that are surviving are the ones that are best adapted to their environments.
Humans would not be around if the peak ripeness of fruit was of upmost importance.
So, while I like Thrive Life for certain things like camping and outdoor recreation treks, I do not buy that the food is better the way that they try to push it.
A Hoarders mlm. Thrive life talks about how their products can last up to 25 years. As a mlm they also have monthly requirements that you must purchase in order to be considered an active Thrive Live Distributor. This means that you’ll be storing these items. In addition to buying your normal staples (powdered butter and freeze dried cheese) the Thrive Life auto ship encourages you to stock pile up your collection of Thrive Foods each month.
Yes…they are supporting a Hoard.
In my opinion, you should get yourself a good bit of foods to have in your pantry in case of an emergency and then only replace it when there actually is an emergency.
I would think most people think this way so it makes me wonder how many people, other than Thrive Life Distributors, are actually on auto ship for this type of product.
Personally, I would order and then I would never order again, so there goes your income if you are a distributor.
Back to the Thrive Life Review
Ok OK… I know you’re here to check out the Thrive Live Opportunity past my issues with it, so let’s try to turn the page (so to say) and see if we can see what else Thrive Life is throwing at us and how it can help us make extra money. That’s what you’re here for, to find out if Thrive Life is a good business opportunity or not.
Let’s start with mlm….
So as I was saying at the beginning of this post, Thrive Life is a mlm.
Let’s talk about that.
Mlms or multi level marketing companies have been around for a while. Recognizable names such as Amway, Tupperware, and Avon are all mlms. Amazing huh?
They have helped create several millionaires and provide plenty of opportunities to grow and earn more income.
A lot of people start with an mlm on a part time basis and eventually build up to 6 figures or more. One of the things about mlms that you will see out there is a slew of mlm scams and people yelling mlm scheme! They may or may not be right. There has been a fair share of mlm companies that have gotten smacked down by the Feds. Herbalife, Vemma and a lot of others have felt the burn of the FED fire. Some have survived, while others just withered away and with it went the income of their mlm affiliates. That’s some scary stuff.
It’s less scary now that there is an internet than before because now, you can brand yourself and a blog and if the company goes under, you can find a new one and you don’t’ have to do as much start up work to recover from the shut down.
Going into an mlm is very much the same as going into business for yourself…..except one major thing. When you go into business for yourself, you are the only person who regulates what you do and say. When you go into business for a mlm, they have rules you have to follow and if you don’t’ follow them, they can keep the money you made from getting customers to buy the mlm product. That should leave a really bad taste in your mouth.
That being said, some mlms (like BeachBody) can help motivate you to become a better person, keep control of your health and offer you a group of like minded and supportive individuals. I certainly see the potential there….but trust me…I’ve made no money because of my improving cardiovascular system. I have however learned some really cool dance moves!
No before I go on with this mlm review, I want to introduce you to Brad. He’s been in mlms before and trust me, he’s not keen on them anymore.
Now, there are people actually earning 3 to 5K a week! A Week! They are using the skills and knowledge that these two geniuses have taught and are now sharing through their online coaching program.
I’ve met the two coached in person, and they are regular normal everyday cool dudes….that also happen to be millionaires. (kind of cool huh?)
So if you are remotely interested, go ahead and schedule a call for the coaching program or check out these millionaire mentoring videos.
Know this before you talk to us though: Making money quickly may or may not happen. Becoming a millionaire takes time and your work ethic will greatly impact your path to millionairehood. Multi Level Marketing, or any network marketing for that matter, takes the same amount of time as a full time professional job if you want to be successful.
Now…if you’re like:
“Naw man…just sow me more about Thrive life! I wanna know about Thrive Life products and the Thrive Life Compensation plan Bra!”
Then ok…
Here it is:
Thrive Live Review (continued)
What makes the Thrive Life Opportunity so special?
Personally, I don’t think Thrive life is super special, but they do have yogurt melts and my kids love those so they do seem to have some good product….but I’m not sure I’d want to sell all the stuff they have and trust it to take me to six figures (which is exactly why I will not be a Thrive Life Consultant).
“Well Hello, would you like to buy some completely waterless food that lacks sufficient density to even be compared to those natural raspberries in the grocery store?”
Part of being in a mlm product is being a user and lover of their product. If you can’t look at the mlm product without coming up with a million reasons to not buy the product, then that is not the multi level marketing opportunity for you.
If you are into fast food and you hate cooking or you are a fan of Kraft Mac & Cheese and you want a healthy alternative, then Thrive Life might be just what you need.
It’s not that you don’t have to cook with Thrive Life, but everything will be much faster and it will likely be more nutritious than if you were to just buy some boxed hamburger helper. Their food is good food, it’s just not what I call “real” food….but I suppose if you are anti grocery shopping and food prepping then Thrive Life or Yevo even might just be your miracle company.
It’s very hard for me to envision any of the people that I personally know who are “’health nuts” buying into Thrive life as a staple food for their daily eating. Thrive life, to me, is more of a rescue, backpacking, emergency food supply vendor more than anything else….but that’s not how they market.
Thrive Life Review-Company History
Thrive Life was formerly known as Shelf Reliance and has been around since 2004. In 2012 they changed their name to Thrive life.
Personally, I like the name BUT they have a competitor that is a also a mlm with a similar name called Le-Vel Thrive Life. Le-Vel is a mlm that focuses on weight loss items.
If you haven’t already figured it out, Thrive Life offers products that people use everyday in freeze dried form while offering a lucrative compensation plan to their mlm partners.
Joining Thrive Life as a consultant, you will be selling healthy freeze dried foods most likely at home parties and maybe online? (Do you have online marketing skills? You’re going to need them.)
Thrive Life Review – Thrive Life Products
Thrive Life products are healthy alternatives to fast food, that is true. Whether or not they are superior to real food is something you should decide for yourself. I personally know what I think about powderized eggs.
Thrive Life is a Freeze Dried Grocery Store that delivers food products right to your door. I believe they have a great product for emergency preparedness and natural disaster food supplies.
Thrive Life offers a variety of foods, along with recommended recipes to use with their food products.
The Thrive Life Products are as follows:
- Bakery
- Basics
- Beverages
- Cereals & Grains
- Dairy
- Express Meals
- Meats & Proteins
- Sauces
- Seasonings
- Smart Start
- Snacks (They call them Snackies)
- Thrive Life Fruits
- Veges
Thrive Life Review – The Thrive Life Compensation Plan
In order to make money with Thrive Life, you will want to have a gold hold on what the Thrive Life Compensation Plan entails.
The Thrive Live Compensation plan encourages you to have home parties and to encourage your friends and family members to buy the products.
As you sell more and more, you eventually will get people who are also interested in selling Thrive Life Products.
When this occurs, as with all mlms, you can place new Thrive Life Consultants in your downline and make money off of their retail sales if they choose to be an active Thrive Live Distributor.
In order to be a Thrive Life distributor, you have to sign up for the auto ship of
Thrive Life products called “The Q”.
You will probably be happy that you have people join under you but eventually you may start to feel bad as you watch them not do so well. If your friends are not making money then you won’t make money and you will feel the weight of their failure on your shoulders.
You have exhausted your warm market and it is likely that many of your friends and family are similar or close to your friends who have joined under you.
In order for any of you to make money with Thrive Life, you will need to know how to find new warm leads to sell Thrive Life to and to get to become a Thrive Life Distributor.
You MUST advance your computer skill sets and your online internet marketing know how. You need to know how to pop up in search engines and how to create funnels to gather lead data.
Then after you have the lead data, you need to know what to do with it.
You see, there is a lot to online marketing and I know just the millionaire mentors that know how to do it.
Does this interest you? If so, why not schedule a call. Our coaching program can help you set up a website or learn how to improve your existing site.
You must be able to see that one or two home parties a week are not going to give you the six figure income that you are looking for. You MUST know how to drive traffic and find people and the internet has that power IF you know how to harness it.
Today, Now…This moment is the time to learn how to generate that traffic and learn how to improve your Thrive Life website to drive Thrive Life Leads.
Click “schedule a call” and find out more.
Much Love,
Charissa

I was just looking at your Thrive Life Review – Is A Thriving Business Possible? Thanks for the information. Thrive Life has been on my mind for a little while now but maybe I’ll consider your mlm coaching instead?
Hi Larry,
You would be surprised at the number of people who leave mlm after our program. The online coaching can help you either way you choose!
